In China, they have a new library that is designed to be more futuristic.

"The Library of Babel," a short story written by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges describes a library-like universe composed of an indefinite number of books and bookshelves. If such a library existed in our universe, perhaps it'd look something like the Tianjin Binhai Library.

The only thing missing in this library is an ai computer similar from the 2002 version of the Time Machine:

Looks like a total pain in the ass to get anything past like the 4th shelf lol. Wouldn't it have been easier and more, futuristic to just upload it all to a database and install reading devices and ai like computer voices to read them to you lol.

We do need paper copy books though. All it takes is for an EMP or a computer error to wipe out every single book in the database.

Where are the hoverpacks to be able to get at them?

Looks more like the biggest workout to get to a book to read, in the world.

Perhaps those floors beyond the 4th floor are just for decoration? Just like those authentic reproduction traditional modern Irish Pubs with all those hammered copper items stacked on the top shelf around the premises.
