From a purely financial viewpoint I am against this, although I have no say in the matter. While the number of members of the House would remain the same, we are adding 4 more Senators, which cost millions each year at taxpayer expense.

Agreed. I heard a joke once that Northern California and Southern California are locked in a bitter feud, only Southern California is unaware of it.
