Some of these are great like the "weird sausage" and the virginity soap.

I wonder if the soft drink Pschit is still on sale in France.
My 1969 holiday diary describes it as "worse than inutile for thirst because it leaves a sherbet taste in the mouth."

P.S. Having watched through the video, I must now observe that two of the examples are not real mistakes.
"Monkey nuts" are a genuine food item, one of the varieties of nuts we used to eat at Christmas.
"Spotted dick" is a genuine old British recipe. According to my cookbook, you will need 3oz self-raising flour, 3oz fresh breadcrumbs, 3oz shredded suet, 2oz caster sugar, and about 4 table-spoons of milk. Edit; Forgot the currants (6oz)! That's where the spots come from, of course.
Mix into a dough, roll it out into a cylinder, wrap in grease-proof paper and foil, and steam for two hours. The appeal of the commercial version must be that it is quicker.

Yes, I knew about spotted dick. It was one of the foods my grandmother used to occasionally make along with bubble and squeak.

We have a strong British heritage on that side. Even so, it still doesn't stop the name from provoking a giggle for most Americans, even those of us who know better.

That was funny. It reminds me of when I saw a package of meat. The label said, "Pork shoulder from butt". I had to think about that for a while. It also reminds me of a snack called "Hits". The reason the product failed is the packaging. When lined up on a store shelf it looked like this:

HIT####S

Can you see the problem?

ETA: I just noticed that the censorship thing on here did lol. I guess the best way to see what it looked like is to write or type HITS out over and over.
