In my experience, moose aren't intimidated by much of anything! I'm probably more wary of them than the bears.

I'm also pretty convinced some of them watch TV through my kitchen window..

Most annoying thing here, living in a wood cabin, are those damn woodpeckers. Close second are my dogs and the squirrels barking at each other. I've kind of tuned the latter out though. Don't know if that's a good sign or not...

Bears concern me.

Moose scare me.

The bull moose that blocked my driveway was easily a 1000 lb animal. I was happily patient as he did his thing.

We have 2 belgian malinois that have just gotten used to living out here. They are insanely well trained, and will only alert to vehicles coming up our driveway... and the damned woodpeckers!!!

The woodpeckers are giving the poor pooches a complex....

Looks a bit like my neck of the woods. Berkshires? Southern Quebec? Adirondacks? Just curious.

Fantastic up close photos.
He's majestic and beautiful.
I thought that I'd share a photo that my daughter and I grabbed (crap phone camera) while moving in our new house. This is in town, there's a patch of woods behind that is surrounded by houses and roads. There must be a small herd living back there. I haven't seen one since.

Gorgeous photo, OP. It looks so elegant and vulnerable. Having gotten close enough to touch one, I can tell you that even though they look elegant, they are a bit on the stinky side. lol.

(I'd put that pic in a frame)
