Hello Ats-ers

Tldr Are There any good researchers left today? Are ufo books published today, actually being researched before published by their authors?

I was Reading a book by michael sallas named insiders reveal how hotdogs are made on mars and beyond.Amidst various claims in said book at one point he started talking about ancient technology and lo and behold the famous Abydos gravure emerges where he goes to say something like "helicopters in egyptian murals means they had advanced technology etc" at which point i threw the book.

Flaunting this at the end of his book one would expect that he researched his material before publishing a book

"Dr. Michael Salla is an internationally recognized scholar in international politics, conflict resolution and U.S. foreign policy. He has held academic appointments in the School of International Service & the Center for Global Peace, American University, Washington D.C. (1996-2004); the Department of Political Science, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia (1994-96); and the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University, Washington D.C. (2002). He has a Ph.D in Government from the University of Queensland, Australia. During his academic career he was the author/editor of four books focusing on international politics. He has conducted research and fieldwork in ethnic conflicts involving East Timor, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Sri Lanka. He has been awarded significant financial grants from the United States Institute of Peace and the Ford Foundation for peacemaking initiatives involving mid-to-high level participants from the East Timor conflict.
Dr. Salla is more popularly known as a pioneer in the development of 'exopolitics', the study of the main actors, institutions and political processes associated with extraterrestrial life. He wrote the first published book on ‘exopolitics’ in 2004, and followed this with another examining exopolitics and US Foreign Policy in 2009. He authored Galactic Diplomacy in 2013; & this was followed by Kennedy’s Last Stand (2013), which investigated the relationship between classified UFO’s and the Kennedy Assassination."

In some other part i read the name of wilcock from whom he used some of his mumbo jumbo aswell.

So do authors research their indormation before publishing a book?Or do they expect us to do this for ourselves? How many books use false information just to fill pages?

Sadly far too many charlatans in the field, just knocking together some outrageous stuff to sell books.

Graham Hancock is my personal bugbear, just because I'm an archaeologist, and he winds me up the way he constantly says things like: 'Oh course archaeologists will try and tell you this couldn't possibly be an underwater city...' Which, yeah, that's because it's not an underwater city, it's a natural rock formation.

The most interesting stories are what sells books though. Doesn't really matter if they're well researched or not.

i thought this book about the psychology of the alien abduction experience was well-researched and a good read.

it's pretty skeptical, though. i don't know if that's your cup of tea.

There it is. Theres a running psyop to discredit ancient civilizations, proposing their advanced technology comes from aliens or time travel, whatever.

Its this whole genre, books like "Chariots of the Gods", TV like Ancient Aliens, etc are designed to bring us to believe only aliens could erect complex structures, that primitive mans was stupid without Aliens help.

We are the advanced ones, the supreme beings, not our ancestors.

That certainly seems to be the case sometimes, especially in the genre being discussed here...

You've discovered, or so it seems, that that is, indeed, the case with many of these self-proclaimed experts. With many of these authors, a 5 gallon bucket of salt is necessary in regards to their veracity, of which there is little, all too often.

Not to say that their works can't be an enjoyable read, so long as you remember they're works of fiction--not science-fiction, as there's precious little science involved.

Is it not reasonable, if you have seen a genuine UFO (or not), to wonder if the real story of humanity and its various starter civilizations have been aided with ETI's help? Nothing can disprove that possibility.

That manner of thinking, of course, is not an original thought of modern day thinkers. The old works themselves give us many tips of early alien interventions, nothing more so than the incidents of the Christian Bible, etc.

''Tis a self-centered human that still wants to think that humans are the supreme being of the Universe when simple, common sense demands a look into the future and past to detect signs of the otherwise. And even if all such indications are discard out of hand for various "logical reasoning," the possibility still is valid given the enormity, age and diversity of the cosmos. The constant folly of humans being wrong on about everything until scientific proof indicates otherwise should be a strong lesson taught to those that insist that WE know the whole truth.

You're part of one of the best books on the topic anywhere. The problem is it's like getting your fill of Pomegranate fruit without eating any seeds. It takes a lot of work to separate the seeds from the fruit.

Long answer yes. Short answer no.

Anybody any good shrouds themselves in secrecy for their own knowledge to try and get ahead.

Being open about your success gets you ridiculed on a massive scale or much much worse.

I have (seen one) and my usual position on this site to whether we are here, monitored and manipulated or not is two fold.

First, arguing about Aliens is like two vegetables in a garden arguing whether gardeners exist or not and two, to me its quite obvious that seeds, eggs, DNA, cell division and the womb are engineered, not randomly mutated in electric mud puddles.

I've said that so many times, kind of lost interest in repeating it. Especially to members that have been here, longer than me.

if the books you write are fictions or novels its ok,the problem is when the book is supposed to be an investigative work as most ufo books claim to be which is far from the truth as i ve come to realise
