ATS...why do you make it so HARD to post PICS????

I just don't understand why it is so phenomenally difficult to post pictures here on ATS!! It's a constant battle.

Why is this? Why do you make it so hard to post pictures???

I am a seasoned forum participant, and ATS is BY FAR the most impossible place to post pictures!

You can't upload them to your profile (used to be able to, but not now apparently...you get an error). You can't upload them from a host like Imgur. Used to be able to do it from Photo-Sucket (but then they went crazy and lost their minds).

Why do you make it so hard???? Is it that you don't want pictures on your website, is that the reason?

I just don't understand it.

I did manage to get the upload to profile to work (after numerous site "no active user session" errors), but you still have to open multiple windows if you want to post more than one picture. Otherwise you have to navigate away from your post to get to the picture (which deletes your post). That, or go back and edit your post multiple times for each single picture entry.

Just seems WAY harder than it needs to be, almost like it's intentionally difficult.

The really surprising thing is the whole bit about not allowing hosting sites. That makes no sense at all! It actually reduces the storage requirements for ATS servers...but it's not allowed (at least Imgur isn't). I don't get it.

By far ATS is the worst to upload pictures... Hope they fix it

I'm pretty fluent in BB Code, and I've tried about every variation of BB Code I can think of to no avail. [img] used to work here with Photo-Sucket, but Photo-Sucket is now completely and categorically unusable (has been for quite a while too). Neither [img] nor [pic] will work with Imgur (just get a broken link).

It's just a struggle...every...single...time, and it seems like the parameters constantly change too. Like it's a quiz or a puzzle or something.

There's an old saying about a picture being worth a thousand words, but posting pictures around here on ATS is like a trip to the dentist's office, every time.

I can't even begin to describe how helpful pictures would be to many discussion here, and it is just frustrating to no end how difficult it is to do. U-toob videos are easy, but pictures are next to impossible...and that just doesn't compute at all.

Many other sites simply use copy and paste (picts).

I think they don't want the picts. too much bandwidth, or whatever you call it.

Heh...yeah, I guess it is actually. A long time ago though. It's been abandoned for 50 years.
