Speaking to Sky News, Mr Tugendhat said: "He has caused famine in one of the most productive lands in the world. It's hard to see how this aligns with the values the WHO purports to hold.

There's no food, no economy, no functioning hospitals or clinics, no schools, 90% unemployment, out of control crime, extreme levels of corruption, the only way to survive is to be a diamond miner under the barrel of the Militiaman's rifle.

Mugabe doesn't deserve to be goodwill ambassador for anything.

I'm not a big fan of regime change but in this case I would an exception.

Golly we REALLY need to relinquish our constitution in lieu of THIS style of global good will and good governance!

My logical mind wants to believe that this is an attempt, albeit a weak one, at reverse psychology. Maybe they're trying to get mr Mugabe to believe he's a good guy and thus change his attitude towards his people. History does not bare this out at all.

This is an astonishing revelation on the UN's founders beliefs. Bush summed it up nicely. They simply want a slave class of people to rule over in manageable numbers. Happens a lot when man tries to be God. The UN is an absolute joke and should fade into the annals of obscurity.

In the backroom of the UN where they have their thinktanks, a third world nation having a functional health care system would only raise the mortality rate allowing them to live longer under suffering inhumane conditions, therefor it is good to destroy any attempts at health care in the region. UN humanitarian thinking.

The Left loves these cold heartless bastards and want them to decide the fate of your lives. This fact alone makes anyone on the Left to be on the wrong side of humanity, usually when they figure it out they leave the Left which is the only humanly compassionate thing to do.

The tragedy here is that the WHO does some fantastic work. Not only did they eradicate small pox and have made huge progress towards the eradication of polio. Other diseases like leprosy, river blindness, chagas and are also being reduced by WHO programmes. Millions of people have been saved from death and illness by WHO work.

Then this. Why do these UN agencies make such stupid errors. One can only conclude that the bosses are either incompetent or corrupt, or both.

They already deified Nelson Mandela.
