A dash cam captured this ghost car accident in Singapore. Apparently, it has happened recently and media has shared the video perplexed about where this car came from. Honestly, I was surprised I could not find it searching on ATS. My husband was surprised I had not seen it already either. He actually usual always makes fun about 'my' conspiracy spooky site forums. Here is a video:

Help me out here, ATS Sleuthers! I have watched it over and over and cannot figure out where this car comes from. There is no prior shadows on the road and it enters with great speed. Is this a hoax? Is it real? Is it absolutely mind-boggling? I ask since even my super close minded hubby is befuddled and for me...that is amazing!

Edit add: SOB! I showed my hubby my new thread...he was happy I did it. He says this is a perfect video for a conspiracy site. In his know it all, as a matter of fact way...he says he believes he does know what happened here. The angle of the camera doesn't see the smaller car because it is always behind the car in front. It is a camera perspective issue. He believes the film is real...but this is proof that a camera does not see everything exactly as it is in reality. What say you ATS...is he right?

Good one. But the car in front is covering the 'ghost car'

Thank you for commenting. If anything, you being the first post, perhaps he will see that the members here at ATS are just as smart and logical, as him. That is my so-called draw to ATS!
That is why I love him and I love ATS!

Cool find. Hubby could be right, but what does the camera angle/perspective have to do with the BMW hitting said ghost car? Clearly, the driver of the BMW was surprised and unprepared — car camera doesn’t explain that. Maybe some once-in-a-lifetime shadow/light phenomenon?

Interesting thread potential

Even my hubby took notice of this video. It certainly makes you rewatch it over and over. He did say for me to quote him..." it is very interesting because it is one of the first videos that is 'almost' too perfect!"

For me... I must admit it is one of the best examples of perspective bias in viewing videos. A definite must watch for all here on ATS, even in other forums to deny ignorance. always seek to decide what angle or perspective is prevalent in watching videos!

It's the angle of the shot and the white car blocking the view.

Here is another example Ghost car crash

ETA: The speed during the crash makes it seem like if it was moving at that speed it must have been seen way before from further down the road but it probably was waiting at the intersection.

It is an amazing video capture. Obviously, the driver was not paying attention and perhaps was distracted. The cam is from the vehicle behind him. Extremely unusual circumstance for sure. Obviously, the person with the dash cam was absolutely befuddled!

You may be right about the shadows and light. They can be hypnotizing in traffic at times.

Edit add: It is always frustrating to watch another's video. I watched it again and can see right at the very beginning of video...about 4 secs in...there is a distortion on top of the car. It shows the vehicle was there. Of course, we don't have the scene of the car sitting there...the few seconds earlier and the repeats are all started after that first slight distortion. Sigh.

As I said....a lesson learned but so appreciated. Kudos to ATS and, yes, even my hubby.

Good video, however..... we are talking about a BMW driver. They are second only to Mercedes drivers for level of complete sh!tness behind the wheel.

I guess it is possible that it was hidden in front of the car that hit it, but at 0:04 in the video, I think we would have seen something there. Also the fact that it went straight through that intersection where it looks like it is all right turn (or the road just veres right). Are there no traffic cameras at that intersection?

A similar thing happened almost 2 years ago on the 101 near Sunset Blvd just N of Santa Monica. The accident was in the paper and called it a "ghost car" as well. The accident was worse and I think someone died or was badly injured. I believe it was about 8-10am and there were a lot of people on the road and they all said it came out of no where with at least 4 witnesses, from all directions saying they didn't see the car until the crash (plus the driver that got Tee'd I'm guessing - or they would have braked or avoided it..). It was covered in the paper and a number of news stations from what I remember.

This made me think about another incident about 4-5 years ago where the same was reported, and again it was a mini-van that came out of no-where driving in the wrong lane. I saw the skid marks about 2 days later and they were eirie to say the least. Unfortunately there wasn't anyone except the people in the car that was hit but they said it appeared out of no-where, in their lane heading right at them.

The oddest thing is that the News always reports these stories but very rarely follows up on them or if they do, it is burried somewhere where it is easily over-looked.

There have been a number of reports on this site where cars that are following them have disappeared, or cars in front of them are suddenly gone after looking away for maybe a second or two. I know this happened to me almost 10 years ago in SoCal (the road going up Mt Palomar on the east side of the mountain) and it was really freaky b/c there was no where for the car to pull off the road unless it went off the road and down the mountainside into the valley (probably 200-400 feet below at a very steep grade). I was very fixated on the car b/c he was a good driver and we were whipping up the switchbacks at about 3-4pm and we had that little friendly passive aggressive driving thing going on, kind of playing with each other. When I noticed he disappeared I slowed and looked behind me and there was no where for him to stop and about 100 yards up the road and just after a sharp right turn, I stopped where I could see the whole side of the mountain where we had just driven and didn't see anything unusual. He was just gone (definately didn't pass me or turn around as I was looking in the rear view about once a second)..

Could be a glitch in the Matrix? some kind of blending or divergence in time lines? Some effect of CERN (mandela effect type issue but in a more physical way).

I have to admit, I am one who does believe that there is probably a logical 'eventual' scientific explanation for many mysteries. It is all not nuttery, just not explainable at are present time. Does that take away from the significance....I say NO!

I have experienced my own unexplained mysteries. I do understand and empathisize with others. Even my hubby has had a couple of experiences that have had him questioning reality as it is known. It is always easy to grasp an seemingly logical aspect to return sanity to one's world. Yet, hopefully one will always keep an open mind that science is evolutionary as well.

Don't want to go too deep or rant....realize I am one who is excited when science expands. Science confirms...past personal affirmations in many ways. Science is facts known until more advance science provides more details.

Kudos to you to keep questioning!

Angles and people not paying attention behind the wheel. The cars are about the same height, it was just hidden behind the white car and seemed to appear out of nowhere. I firmly believe cars just don't appear out of other realities.

The barriers are being affected on a large scale due to magneto issues with earths fields. Poor guy not only transferred dimensions, but i wonder if he/she is insured for car ghosting accidents.

Angle of the buildings going down to less elevation, and most importantly look at the center line following our first cars path. The car was below dash cam grade and made an illegal turn into traffic.
Solved

I really think this was edited.

The blurry artifacts that appear around the car, nanoseconds before the ghost car appears, makes me suspect.

Even if this was a bike, a mini cooper, or a what are the really small ones, spark I think? Even any of those would be seen before that car even turned right.

what also has me suspect is the speed of the bus in the background, it seems to be moving and just stop, yes that is what buses do, however, not on dime stops, buses aren't known for such.

Watch the video again, turn the speed down to lowest youtube lets, and stare at the top center of the hood of that white car, you will see a pointed triangle appear before that ghost car pops up, that makes me think it was the merge spot for two different footage.

I believe in perspective Bias, but also believe in physics, at the speed the car was going, that white car would not of covered the ghost car all the time, certainly the direction it was coming from.

I think the TV reporters got duped.
