My sci-fi short story

I'm redirecting my energy into writing a short sci-fi story about a brilliant scientist named Dr. Simonion. I have all I need for the story, however, in the story, Simonion has a to do list of 10 inventions that he hopes to create in his lifetime. What 10 inventions could be on his list? I need stuff that is different and out of the box. Not like "Jetpack" or "Flying car". I can't think of anything creative. Thanks

Car-pack - it's a flying car that can shrink down (kinda like a transformer). It starts out around the size of a firetruck and can fly and it takes you to school (and back). When you get to school, you press a special button and it shrinks down to backpack size and you can wear it your back, because it is made of a special space material that doesn't weigh much.

Also, it can do your homework for you.

I can't think of anything creative.

Perhaps this is something to ponder as you try to embark on this bold new career. Are you certain writing is what you really want to do? Or perhaps, write about history because someone else wrote the story for you.
