Leftists when they read about this in the news, and know they will get grilled on ATS.

On topic, so I wonder if the main reason to bring in Mueller for the Russia investigation, was to try to cover tracks from other possible investigations? (Which now seems he missed one)

On to Page 6 and 100 comments and not a single Hillary-/Obama-supporter or POTUS Resister? Fascinating phenomenon!

PS: I found a 2nd article from Newsweek about this (posted at 10:55 AM today): link

Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill

Well it appears that hillary, holder, obama, et al were well aware of the corruption of Russian officials when they sold them uranium.

Maybe the fact that these Russians were apparently bribing hillary with millions of dollars encouraged them to look the other way.

But I guess this is nothing compared to the Russians using Pokemon go to influence the election!

Not shocked....and it's already been proven Uranium left the US....again...not shocked.

Sad that a real story with real Russian influence gets buried.

Funny how quiet your thread showing proof that US uranium went to Russia was as quiet as is this one in regards to naysayers.

Still no spin on this yet?

Ha...yes...it was like the cricket parade in there.

They probably think that if they stay quiet, it will all go away. Time will tell.

I was just told on another thread that the thesis of this thread has been proven false.

I'm not defending the Obama administration or the Clintons here but you're incorrect about what the article is stating. You also willfully and stupidly dismiss the current administrations involvement with the Russians as trivial when it clearly isn't. It's time for everyone to pull their collective heads out of their partisan asses and realize we have a major Russian problem.

Well it appears that hillary, holder, obama, et al were well aware of the corruption of Russian officials when they sold them uranium.

No. The article states that the Obama administration was not informed of the investigation.

“The Russians were compromising American contractors in the nuclear industry with kickbacks and extortion threats, all of which raised legitimate national security concerns. And none of that evidence got aired before the Obama administration made those decisions,” a person who worked on the case told The Hill, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution by U.S. or Russian officials.

The Hill

All that said... I hope this is fully investigated just as I hope that any potential corruption is fully investigated. Russia needs to GTFO. This makes the Clintons look slimier than ever but I doubt either will be indicted, they're not stupid like Trump et al... where they deny then admit all while calling it salty tears.

If you think The Hill article is all the info that will come out, you are probably going to be disappointed.

Who was the FBI Director when this all went down?
You know, the guy that knew about the payoffs?

Edit to add:
We have our answer.... the bad people are not the people in our government that sold our uranium to our enemies....

IT'S THE RUSSIANS!

Such information makes me ill to the stomach in light of the public/private views remark. The fact that most media outlets backed that specific candidate makes it all the more frightening.

I'd like to get you to answer this honestly.

If the US did something like this to Russia, would it be a big deal to you? If the US bribed a Russian government person high up, in exchange for buying some (whatever was important) and tried to cover it up, would it matter to you?

The Trump/Russian connection is clear to you, but the Obama/Clinton/Russian connection isn't?

Them there is some grand mental gymnastics.

She would have sold them our missile codes for a hundred million or so.
