Following the Transportation Security Administration’s protocols, airport security allowed a bomb dog to sniff the bag for explosives and the dog signaled to the team the presence of dangerous materials in the bag. The concourse was then shut down. The street leading to the airport was shut down.

What investigators eventually found in the bag was AN/FO (Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil) explosives that, according to the criminal complaint, have been used “in a number of terrorist-related incidents around the world.

The Airport Bomber From Last Week You Never Heard About

This is at least the third thread about it. I'd say people heard about it.

Ah, but they did not hear about it in the places that matter, or as extensively as you would expect, if other such events, differing in NO important regard whatsoever, were anything to go by (which, by the way, they most certainly are).

The clear implication of the fact that this was not national and international news, is that terrorism only counts if its successful, or attempted by a Muslim, or someone the authorities can pass off as Muslim.

Yup read about this a couple days ago actually. Nobody died, nobody got hurt so not much of a story .

Just imagine if Stephen Paddock got busted before he could do his shooting spree?

His arrest would have been a 10 second blurb on the news and maybe a 2 paragraph story on the 2nd or 3rd page of the newspapers.

You make a good point.

This is the kind of story Trump should tweet about, the whole world would know about it in about 5 minutes flat.
