What is the dance where 2-3 girls stand side by side and kick their legs out to the side in rhythm?

It's like a bounce, jump, side-kick (left then right). Not a big kick, just a little one (to the beat) . It's very synchronized, and I'd like to know what that step is. There's a couple commercials on TV where some girls do it and it looks pretty cool. (It also looks kind of hard), but I'm wondering what the step is because I'd like to learn more about it.

Thanks.

P.S. The kick is straight out to the side, both left and right...as the dancers are in a line (they do it in unison).

The Can can?

Can you find a video for us to see exactly what you are asking about?

No, I can't find a video, that's the problem. I wish I could.

It's a real quick kick out to the side (right, bounce, left) and then they do a double on one side. It's a really cool step, but I just can't find it. Usually I see them holding onto their belt when they do it.

I can never see it long enough to see exactly how they do it. It's like step, bounce, kick, bounce, kick, bounce, kick-kick, bounce, kick. That's as close as I can tell.

it's for some TV shows, it's three girl actresses (this is why its so hard to figure out). It's in a commercial for several different programs (I want to say on A&E). It's like a montage of upcoming programs people should watch. It's not advertised on A&E, but on a sister channel.

Note: I just went and looked at the "Can-can"...that's not it.

There's no front kicks at all...only side kicks (and not big side kicks, just small jump kicks to the side).

I'm sorry, I'm doing a bad job explaining it, but it's really neat. There's no front kicks, no back steps, no diagonal steps...they're all just in a line, side by side, and they are bouncing to the beat and then start this side kick thing.

edit...they're like all standing in the same place, not moving around, just doing this side kick dance.

edit II...it's like a line-dance sort of, but sideways.

Can you rewind it if you have DVR and post images?

If you have a cell phone to capture pics?

Is it a version of the old-fashioned chorus line?

I guess I'm not being clear. When I say "kick", it's not like a traditional kick where you bend your leg at the knee and then kick it out straight. The leg stays straight at the knee and you hop and kick straight out to the side. Literally, there is absolutely no (zero) front to back motion. The dancers don't move frontwards or backwards AND their legs don't move frontwards or backwards. Only side to side. It's like this rhythmic rocking motion from side to side with lateral kicks directly out to the side, like a sideways kick. The kicks are quick and only 6-8" outward (not like a karate kick or anything).

Something like this at the 18 second mark?

ETA Thanks to the poster above me for identifying (possibly) the dance in question. I have no idea what dance it is. Good luck!
