Twenty-three years ago or so, Swimming with Sharks made an impression with its compelling portrayal by Kevin Spacey of a narcissistic psychopathic movie mogul. A few years later, based on a few month's experience working around Hollywood movers and shakers, I'd say the characters, and story, are close to 100% believable. Outrageous sh** and outrageous people happen in L.A. show business, and to know something of what that means -- and who Harvey Weinstein is -- one should watch and enjoy "Swimming with Sharks".

Working with such a person is not all outrage --only 80% outrage or so -- and this film doesn't address the sex abuse dimension particularly. With that strategic (from a script-writer's perspective) omission, the movie can still be funny.

I don't know if the character was modeled on HW or not, but it might as well as have been. In an interview Spacey commented that "there’s a story that when Harvey Weinstein was at his worst, his assistants would stick a tape of Swimming With Sharks into his VCR".

Everybody knew Harvey Weinstein was a sexual predator. But even so, powerful people like Barack and Michelle Obama sent their children to be Harvey Weinstein's interns.

Now that Weinstein has been found guilty, he might be suicided, if he doesn't flip really fast.

Weinstein has served his master well. He will be slipped away to some resort where he will enjoy the rest of his life.
