See, I remember the same thing. I want to defend Trump on this point... for most of his life he was definitely no racist. However, that is not how he's acted as President. You can excuse it as him just pandering to his base, but his actions and rhetoric since the campaign trail have been very racist. From promoting the Blacks for Trump guy (I might write a thread about this guy later tonight actually), to his reactions to Charlottesville vs Puerto Rico. His comments about hispanics and especially Mexicans. And a lot of random symbols... he even talked about what a great guy David Duke is.

Maybe Trump isn't a racist. I certainly don't think politicians believe 100% of the things they do, I think the opposite and that most of it is show for the voters. But even if we excuse Trump with that line of thinking, we're left with the reality that Trump built a significant portion of his base from a bunch of racists.

I am not defending Trump at all, just pointing out that it is simply not true that he has had a negative relationship with the press through his whole career. Fact is that most of the MSM has been and still is firmly in the Hillary Clinton camp, and I know this very well since I have witnessed the way "journalists" and "news" outlets has treated not only Trump but also Bernie Sanders.

Bernie is not mentioned often here at ATS, by the way, it's mostly "Hillbots" versus "Trumptards" having grand food fights, hahaha. I for one like to remind people that Bernie still exists, he is very much still on the political arena, and there are many, many Berners like me out there hoping he will run again. As an Independent or leader of a new political party, that is, no doubt the revolting vermin in the DNC and the corrupt establishment Dems will screw him and all his supporters over again if they get the chance.

Also want to mention that I really don't buy the claim that a "significant portion" of Trump's base are racists, I think this is just another narrative and smear tactic created by the yapping Clinton lapdogs in the media, just like the bizarre narrative that "BernieBros" are sexist woman haters for not supporting HRC. The vast majority of Trump supporters are just ordinary, struggling people - of all colors - who are sick and tired of getting screwed over by the rich and powerful and sick and tired of the Dems after 8 years with the big disappointment called Obama who frankly turned out be just a another 1 % bubble slimeball - and war lord, ugh.

And why do I have to do research for you? If you want to find info on the various politicians and others that are working on building a case towards impeaching him, do it yourself. the same goes for the numerous politicians and former politicians that have been consistently labeling him dangerous, mentally unfit, incompetent, etc. I already pointed out several times now how that would play into removing him through the 25th Amendment.

Varying population density has nothing to do with the total number of votes across the country as a whole.

Trump got 46% of that vote, which would indicate that 46% of Americans approved of him as President at that point.

My contention is borne out by the fact that his measured approval rating started out around 46% and has been steadily falling ever since. Five Thirty Eight

Right you are. I suppose I should have clarified that the Republican's in Congress likely believe that the equivalent electoral vote tally even at the reduced % of support still doesn't warrant going against the president.

Trump won't get impeached. This stuff is just red meat to the loser class that got bullied in high school and now can't afford their own healthcare so they take to their safe space internet all day. Here's the thing, unless we can bring minimum incomes up enough, and we don't seem to have any interest in doing that. Then even if everyone weren't losers, as you put it, the bottom 30% of wage earners would still be the bottom 30% of wage earners and bringing in just as much money as they do now. Should they simply accept their place in life, die 15-20 years earlier, and suffer from treatable illnesses?
