Great, if it passes (which it won't) into law we'll have yet another judicial decision backing up Roe v. Wade.

Awesome!

The Congressional and Executive branches are MORE powerful than the Judicial branch of government. Republicans can pass a law making Roe v. Wade irrelevant is the way I understand it.

What's the basis of that understanding? Not the US Constitution.

What are you talking about "if it passes", it already did. I don't know why you are saying it wont pass. Also this is nowhere near a Roe VS Wade.

Go to Youtube, find the old Schoolhouse Rock video called "I'm Just a Bill." Educate yourself.

Let me know when you're done, and if you still have questions.

Fighting divisiveness with divisiveness?

Interesting tactic, I guess.

I'm totally fine with this if they added two more points.

1, a birth defect rider.
For obvious reasons.

2, ease adoption regulations.
It's stupid that I can adopt a foreign kid easier than an American kid.

Ease adoption regulations?
That would mean them Homer Sexuals would be able to adopt good USA bred Christian babies to further their GAY AGENDA!!! No Republican would back that publicly.

Better than aborting it.

there's one story I read online about a late term abortion where the fetus has severe brain malformations. the mother said that it seemed the baby never stopped moving, and then the doctor told her that if the baby were to be born it would be having convulsions many many times throughout the day if it even lived long after birth. is it possible that the baby was always moving because it was convulsing? is there pain involved in convulsing?? seems like it should go both ways here, that if you don't want to do an abortion because it will cause pain, then maybe, just maybe you might want to accept abortion if it means the end of the suffering also, especially if there's more chance that the baby will die after birth than live?
another one, I believe from Texas, a membrane ruptured and the hospital just send her back home, the baby still had a heartbeat so they couldn't do anything, even though there was no way that the baby wasn't going to die.. the mother had to go days knowing (and feeling) that the baby was struggling for life as the membrane closed in around him.
this isn't alleviating pain and suffering, it is extending it for no danged good reason.

How do they do that without a filibuster proof majority in the Senate?

Abortion isn't used as birth control though.

It most certainly is. I have a friend who is going through the process to get one now because her boyfriend doesn't know how to use a condom properly.

Yes, they have directions and there's a right way and a wrong way to use them.

they write laws that they know will never get pass the supreme court because they fail to acknowledge that the women's health and life can't be sacrificed for the sake of the life she is carrying??
and ya, they do that because it keeps their supporters actively supporting them.

And what percentage of potential abortions would fall under this type of scenario?

Yup, it's about as likely as liberals agreeing to put limits on abortions.

Maybe if something was in the bill about forcing insurance companies to cover birth control pills.

Nah, who am I kidding? Nobody is ever willing to compromise.

Ah percentages ... always a horror story.

Like ...

50%, the number of fertilized ova (zygotes) naturally aborted before a woman knows she's pregnant.

15%-20% of the surviving fetuses are spontaneously aborted.

All those tiny souls spending a few weeks on earth ... God surely does work in mysterious ways, eh?

Time - Women Now have as Many Miscarriages as Abortions

There are limits on abortions set, quite logically, at the point of viability.

Talk to Hobby Lobby about compromising on birth control.

Pregnancy? Or the actual birth of a human being?

Pregnancy? Not really much of a miracle.

7 billion humans on the planet. Just because you can use the law of large numbers to make pregnancy look rare doesn't make it so.
