So your basic contention is whoever moves left the fastest wins?

Thanks, but no thanks.

Nope. If you think dogma and jingoism is integral to the core of conservatism, you're among the fooled. The Republican party used to stand for something amazing.

No.

You think dogma (religion) and jinogism (the dark side of patriotism) are part of conservatism and that's your misconception.

All I wanted was someone who would lower my taxes and get rid of Obamacare.

While trump said he would, it was the republicans who backed out of that promise.

I am disgusted by their lying.

Democrats just want to raise my taxes and like republicans, want to have socialized medicine.

I'm sick of their lies. they will never to term limits.

They are just as bad as any draconian/repressive government.

The only reason they (republicans and democrats) don't go full-on fascist is because we ARE armed.

(mini rant back atcha.)

What's funny is that some posters in that thread were calling it a "psyop" yet those same posters seem to ignore the fact that these violent protests by Antifa could be a psyop as well, and most likely are.

Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug.

It's not even the House so much as the Senate where everything is going to die. We can't fully assess the magnitude of the problem in the House because the Senate will effectively kill everything right now.

I know. And I was one of the idiots who believed their lies.

So only the left shoots people? L. O. L.

I think you're just proving the point more and more. Turn a blind eye to one side and then try to blame everything on the other. Classic identity politics, if Soros is really funding Antifa then I'd say you're falling for it.

Oh, I know.

"We can't do anything because we don't have the House!"

So they get the House ...

"We can't do anything because we don't have the Senate!"

So they get the Senate ...

"We can't do anything because we don't have the White House!"

So they get the White House ...

And they act like they still can't do anything or they just don't want to.

Oh, but it is. It's married to modern American conservatism in tragic ways. It's based on the premise that the left cannot be religious nor patriotic, it claims a monopoly on who is "truly" American.

There is a reason why issues that shouldn't be regarded as left/right got divided up in convenient little belief packages. It leaves people like me in a place where I have to just check off boxes and choose the side with the most check marks. It's silly.

I'm pro-2nd-amendment
Anti-abortion (legalized, yes, but want to reduce it)
Pro-religious expression
but...
I'm also pro-marriage equality
Pro-equity
I'm supportive of the least among my brothers and sisters

So... where does that leave me? It makes me wish the republican party of old was still a thing and that democrats would loosen up a bit.

Ok then, where did antifa take over a public building for a couple of weeks ?

This is getting silly, one side is not better than the other.

At least the democrats are honest when they say they want to raise taxes and remove freedoms.

The republicans are just like the democrats except they LIE!

Another fine example that would solve so much. Who doesn't want this?! Yet... will it happen in our lifetimes?

Who committed acts of violence at the Bundy standoff?
I was making a comment about a specific group that was mentioned earlier.
You have some evidence that the Oathkeepers actually committed acts of violence on someone? Because that is what I am talking about.

Nope. The American political system as of now exists to serve the wealthy and monied interests.

It's in their interests to have long-lasting legislators for them to continuously funnel money into their "election" campaigns, further their relationship and ensure they vote in their favour.

Individuals in both houses who are an exception to this rule number in single figures. I can personally only name three.

Follow from my first post.
I asked about the Oathkeepers because they were specifically mentioned as a violent group.
There should be a list of people that they have assaulted.

Well, let's see. There was the guy who ran people over and killed 1 a few months ago, there was the train attack in Portland that killed 2, there was the Planned Parenthood shooting that killed 3 in Colorado... Do I need to go on? Those are just a few examples of right-wing terrorism in America.

Am I justifying what the left-wing has done? No, absolutely not, they're just as guilty as those that I mentioned above.
