I can relate... groceries all bought... but I’ve been cleaning and my back is killing me.. so I’m taking lots of little breaks in between. I miss the old days when I could whirl around and get so much done in half a day 😕... when I could actually get down on my hands and knees to wash a floor. I don’t mind cleaning... can’t stand the pain of being on my feet too long, or bending slightly.
Oiy Vey... thats life... need to be grateful I can still walk 🙂

Dave's off on an adventure to the liquor store to hopefully acquire reasonably priced alcohol of some form. (Unlikely, we're way overpriced, seriously contemplating creating Backyard Booze.)

He's making a Christmas bolognese for dinner tonight, apparently there'll be enough to feed us all week! I've made my delicious sherry-infused trifle and a child-friendly one for the boy; breakfast tomorrow! (Food is my favourite part of Christmas, shhhhhh, nom nom nom, and I look forward to my trifle every year.)



But just wanted to stop by and wish everyone happy holidays and a merry Christmas!

Prawns are an australian thing - pretty sure at least two thirds of the country will be eating the things this holiday season.

The bolognese is thanks to Dave's Italian heritage he has a family recipe - his mum makes it every Christmas but this year he's here!! So he's cooking that up right now for us smells delicious, by the way.

And trifle!!!!!! So much better than fruit cake or pudding. a fair chunk of the.population will be eating that tomorrow also. Others will be eating pavlova!

Hey, I too am having a Italian/Aussie xmas.
Arancini, lasagne, trifle etc. no prawns this year $52.00 per kilo !!
I'll spend that on grog instead !

Do you have an Aldi store nearby ? Alcohol is cheap there.

I heard that the prices were going to be steep this year due to supply issues, but wow we didnt get kings though, could get king medium for 26 but I went for the .... ones that start with V that are usually cheapest (lol, brainfart)
