Well OJ is back in the news. No he didn't kill anyone in jail. He's about to be released after 9 years for an armed robbery conviction.

OJ Simpson. You're getting out of prison after serving nine year for robbery! Where are you headed? Disney World! Well, maybe not Disney World but Simpson's lawyer says that he is definitely going to Florida.

"He's going to Florida," lawyer Malcom LaVergne told ABC's Good Morning America. "There's no doubt he's going to Florida.

"He wants to go to Florida, he wants to see his family and hug his family on the outside of prison. He wants to eat seafood, he wants to eat steak.

patch.com...

It seems that Florida wants him no more than it does hurricanes:

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote a letter to the state's corrections department chief saying Florida should notify all appropriate authorities of Nevada that Florida objects to granting Simpson permission to relocate there.

"Floridians are well aware of Mr. Simpson’s background, his wanton disregard for the lives of others, and of his scofflaw attitude with respect to the heinous acts for which he has been found civilly liable," Bondi wrote. "The specter of his residing in comfort in Florida should not be an option.

There was also a report on the radio yesterday that there were concerns of people harassing and/or assaulting him. Maybe not the best idea. Even at 70 he's a big lad and probably able to defend himself quite well. Secondly, hasn't he done his time? "Paid his debt" so to say? Well whatever is going to go down it'll be starting this week. Maybe as soon as tomorrow. The Juice is loose.

I don't mind having Simpson here, he could be a boost to our economy. People may even be flown in to protest him, and they have to buy stuff and sleep somewhere right

I'll drink some beers with him.

Sheep don’t understand the meaning of “Paid debt to society” they think that even though you served the time appointed by the judicial system you should be locked up forever. They then resort to vigilante justice and attempt to take it into their own hands ILLEGALLY. Pretty hipocricical if you ask me.

People just need to leave the poor guy alone. If he messes up even for a minor crime again he’s going to go in until he dies.

I could have sworn when he was convicted of the robbery his sentence was life without parole. Am I misremembering it or is this another case of the Mandela effect? Just kidding, the Mandela effect isn't real, but I do remember life without parole.

It was a maximum of 33 years with the possibility of parole in 2017.

I'll wager more than a handful of murderers, rapists, and thieves relocate to Florida after being released from prison without so much as a peep or even a thought from Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Must be trying to score some brownie points or something.

Served his time. Unless Florida has some form of statute that forbids him from relocating there...

If he minds his own business, then what's Florida's gripe? If he doesn't, he's going back to jail.

...and this post just about expresses my level of interest. Meh.

Well, yeah, he's paid his debt to society for the robbery.

But plenty of people may think there was no justice for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Many people think he did it.
Many people don't forget that.

The biggest agricultural product of Florida seems to be Oranges.

Perhaps they believe that Simpson may taint their other pristine OJ - one bad apple sort of thinking.

On the other hand, where else are you going to find fresh oj other than Florida or Cali?

He got away with a litany of crimes in Florida. Suspicion of drug activity, pirating cable, road rage, domestic 'squabbles'.

Florida likes OJ.

Is this legal? According to the justice system he's done his time. How can a state prevent OJ from living there? The last time I checked we live in a free country. The next thing the Florida Attorney General will do is probably tell Trump he's another one of those SOB's and have him kicked out of the country. Than have him slap a travel ban on him so Simpson can't come back to the U.S. and is forced to become friends with Kim Jong Un and live in North Korea!

If he's on parole, he would need permission to leave the state, AFAIK.
His life will have some restrictions the whole time he is on parole.

What did his lawyer open his gub for?
OJ could have disguised himself and never let on...wear a wig or something..or cut a leg off!
