Oh I agree, that is worthy of mentioning in this.

Yes, that is all I'm saying. Money confiscated should go to the utilities and families affected.

But, and it's a big but, I don't care for the offal that deals in the substances which ultimately destroys lives.

So, if exposed, just take everything away from them. They only support their habit for greed. Take the profits and put it back to the suffering.

Regards to you for your reply,

sincerely,

bally

Full disclosure; I am currently taking vicodin right now. I have a shattered tooth and it's the only thing keeping me sane until tomorrow.

Believe it or not, I am a responsible person.

If people start getting timid about prescribing pain medications then innocent people like me would suffer.

Sorry Blaine9,

I forgot to answer your question.

Do you think the manufacturers directly distributed their product to her on purpose or was it actually the result of incompetent or criminal doctors and dealers who provide the drugs to addicts?

I don't know how to answer that as what I would say would be based on my emotions towards this subject and therefore would be hearsay. I can only answer in first person observations and medical reports.

my regards, bally

For what it's worth, I've seen no difference in your cognitive posting abilities!

Well, I also take the meds as prescribed. I don't abuse it and I'm not trying to get 'high".

Hell, I'm even not drinking alcohol.

My worry is that innocent people who have a legitimate need will end up paying by proxy and that going after manufacturers who supply them for legitimate use is a useless tactic.

I certainly understand what position you are coming from. From experience and having lost close friends to drugs and drinking I more than understand. In the end though, they knew what they were doing and even though it's hard for me to place blame on them I have to.

Peer pressure with young people is a huge part of it also sadly. It's clearly different with young people and rehab is the only sensible route. The only real way to end it is to remove the demand and that will never happen. The legitimate manufacturers could close up shop and there would be just as many opioids on the streets as there are now I'm afraid.

I think a user should always err on the side of caution. With fentanyl in the mix, you may not get a second chance. Is it too much to ask that you consider your family and ones who care about you, despite appearances, to chip rather than go for a blast?

The other day I spent a while trying to recall the name of a jazz artist who od'd. I used to have a home recording of her. Then I learned she had died in Australia, I believe, long ago, in 1990. Then I sought the recording, and upon review was reminded I had since recorded a tennis match over it. At any rate, I was not able to recall her name until I had a dream, recently, wherein there was a factory, sets of tools being organized and inventoried in boxes for workers, and a modern thread tap with flutes sculpted with clearance cut outs for CNC. On the side of the tool instead of size and maker, was the word 'Remler' printed, twice, so I kinda take this seriously, even if the user does not. Next I saw some cannabis stashed inside some allen wrenches with red trim accents. As usual, at this juncture I awoke and later struggled to jot down the fleeting fragments...which is key because It took a few days to recall what 'Remler' represented. I was unable to cull the forgotten name from my notes, and when it came to my mind what it meant, well, Im glad I remembered it, and it was many days before it clicked. There was a person in this dream, just one person.

Smack is problematic because as you get better at sourcing it you are more liable to be surprised at your success, fatally so. I wouldn't use it under any circumstances. As oft happens when you find yourself knowing too much, the window for affiliation with things like this...like Parkour, like Pornstars, has closed.

I would be on board with this as long as the monetary awards don't go directly to the junkies or their families.

They should go to education and after school programs and stuff like that.

well actually the money should go to all the neighbors of the junkies who caused property values to plunge , who stole and robbed from their neighbors, lets compensate the people who ACTUALLY lost something because the junkies didn`t lose anything, they would be perfectly happy living in caves.

The makers of Oxycontin were not the only ones that caused the problem there were many doctors that proscribed it when it was not the best pain med and Vicodin would have been a better med for the pain.

This was ok to do to big tobacco.
Why not the same to big pharma?

No way could the real solution be to find the real cause

As I said, the cause is capitalism- it makes life unbearable for millions.
