Border Wall Prototype Construction Begins

The construction of President Donald Trump’s promised prototype border wall began on Tuesday. Six companies that won the competitive bidding process will begin testing various types of walls.

The companies will begin building eight test sections of wall on Tuesday, Fox News Insider reported.

“Today is the day the dirt actually moves,” Fox’s Adam Housley reported from the area. He said it will take about a week or two before anything significant is constructed.

Why do immigration activists need to be upset about the wall?
Nobody is saying you can't immigrate to the US you just need to do it the right way and not sneak in illegally.
Even legal immigrants don't have a problem because they came the right way and they don't like to see people coming in illegally either.

Awesome. They need Federal enforcement on site to avoid serious trouble, IMO. Trusting local police with the political issues that major cities seem saddled with, not to mention the State of California mentality, could lead to a blind eye to protests.

Armed Border Patrol and Marshalls would prevent serious incidents. Probably won't happen until after the crap hits the fan....

I wonder how many Mexicans will be stopped by that wall when most of em fly into LAX or Hartsfield-Jackson with a tourist visa.

Why are all the companies building test walls only? Don't they know how to build walls yet? Maybe it would have been cheaper, easier and quicker to ask the Chinese. They know how to build walls.

Largely due to the fact that all this started with the southern border issue. Obviously, it's expanded into the visa area and in fact only 25% of the illegals are of Mexican origin.

All that says is if we had jumped on this from back in the Reagan era. Hard. The visa jumpers, the illegals from Asia, from central and South America, on and on, wouldn't have taken the mentality of 'if they can do it, I can too'.

The simple truth of it, in my view, is if we can't build a simple freaking wall, what are the chances we have the will to handle the far harder issue of Visa overstays.

We either start the process here and now with the wall or basically kiss any resemblance to our original nation, adios....

What is more impressive is the fact that people don't care that there are people who are here illegally and don't care , cities that won't follow the law and let them stay , morons that think it's ok until someone who has been deported sneaks back in and commits more crimes , you might care but people have and will continue to be hurt by this .I'm not impressed by this wall , what would impress me is if the authorities did their jobs and deported The ones that are overstaying their visas , and stop the other ones from entering illegally. Do you have a good plan for that ? Nope , and neither do I.

Immigration Activists are Anti-Trump. As such, they are anti-jobs, because jobs help Trump.

The Liberal MSM (especially CNN and MSNBC) will report on every snag encountered during wall testing and construction.

i.e. CNN: "Trump Wall testing began today. Eight duck eggs were found mangled and crushed. Animal Rights activists are up in arms! Look at this CNN exclusive video of the crushed eggs. Here is what the little ducklings would have looked like if Trump Wall had not killed them!"

At least it is an effort to curb illegal immigration,your mere opinion is nothing more then an uninformed opinion,obvious your not from a border state,and weak excuse most here on Visas,at least they can account for their whereabouts,trying to brush away the truth is the downfall of many a liberal

there will and can be no wall.

there will be a reinforced fence, with concrete structures in 2 or 3 strategic locations. the rest will be a 'technologically - based wall'

then the deflections will come in full force from the defense team, or maybe some preemptive defense now, as to why a 'virtual wall is ideal'


those prototypes are just special effects to ease in the 'bad news of cost'.... make the prototypes grandiose and nearly impossible to achieve on current budget without affecting the 'middle class'

It's harder to come with VISA. Airport security is tightened significantly.

What America should do is do what Russia does. No illegals. Guaranteed. Russia hopes illegals destroy America. Russia is building dozens of new warships and subs while America navy is losing ships and subs. Their economy is not hampered by illegals like America is.
