Hi there. Serious question here. Will there be sex in heaven? If so, why? If not, why not? Please be respectful, as I'm sure every denomination has a different answer. Also, please provide scripture to support your stance. Thanks in advance.

If not, then the 99 virgins will be kinda useless.

Mark Twain thought so.

I'm pretty sure there is a place where it talks about us not being either male or female in heaven. If we're not one sex or the other, then why would we need it?

Things like that are earthly things, not spiritual or heavenly. If we're living forever and not needing sex for its intended purpose, then it likely shouldn't surprise anyone if we no longer have it in Heaven.

It wouldn't be heaven without it.

Or maybe there won't be.

Best to get all you can while we're stuck here on this rock.

Sex is for procreation .. so no sex is needed in heaven

Ecstatic spiritual love is kind of like a mega-orgasm. Nothing else compares and it is enough. Too much even---one can only take so much before they need to take a break from the Throne and zip around the cosmos for a bit before coming back for more. That's my take. Mileage may vary.

For my wife and I, it seems to be more than that. We connect physically and spiritually during the act. I do appreciate the post though.

Having actually experienced the kind of love they say you will feel in the presence of God in a spiritual experience, you are not far wrong.

There is nothing sexual about it, but it's so powerful, it puts it to shame.

Genesis.. “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth"
i guess it tells why we have sex. Well nowadays we have more options for procreation too.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

If you really love your wife, then the true love you have likely felt for her is just a pale shadow of what you will experience.

Jesus said there will be no marriage in the resurrection life (Mattthew ch22 v30), which means the answer is No. It would be a different kind of existence.
