Based on what we've seen with the Catholic church over the years, this priest will likely be "punished" only so the Church can save face and say they handled this issue. How sick in the head do you have to be to "dedicate your life to the Church" and claim to sacrifice a normal life in the name of God, and then intentionally and secretively engage in activities such as this? The Vatican, like our elected "leaders" are a bunch of psychopaths

I hope authorities get the opportunity to take this son of a bitch down, but with the political influence that the Church has, I'm doubtful much will come of this.

Child molesters have mental issues.
Most mental issues are treated as an illness with rehabilitation the preferred treatment.
Molesters are treated as criminals.
I'm not defending anyone that touches a child. I have a brother guilty of that crime. But when will their illness be treated?

It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that fantasizing about defiling innocent children is pretty darn sick.
Pedophiles will not be accepted in todays society or maybe even in any future one, but definitely not todays.

It has been tried and they still do try to treat but it seems from what I have read only pedophiles can bear to listen to their descriptions of raping babies. There are just not many willing to get into that line of mental health care.

Desiring something you can't have fantasizing of, say raping a woman is an illness but when the thing is done it is a crime.

Distributing nude pictures of anyone whos likeness is used in such a way unknowingly is a crime. I can't imagine why any religion should have its leaders above the law, just the opposite they should be held doubly accountable. I agree completely with you on material wealth. It is a curse and not a blessing. You can also tell a lot about a person that values those material objects.

But this institution does represent a certain flavor of god. Even if there are different versions of this god, most of the abrahamic religions are very similar in ideology.

I am just trying to put myself in god's position with my mortal understanding. If this is a god of peace and enlightenment I would be very upset at the message these institutions are pushing. Is god unable to interact with this reality?

Exactly, at this point it's pretty much beyond proven that every institution that we hold dear to us and our children has been infiltrated and or created by very sick people since way before any of us were ever born.

Politicians, religious leaders, entertainers, academia, law enforcement, finance, everything you can think of really, I'm certain I forgot a lot of honorable mentions. The apple is spoiled. They are still harvesting organs and practicing their sick rituals. But the majority of the populace is oblivious to it and it boggles mind.

You would have thought Jimmy Saville or maybe Jeff Epstein would have been an eye opener for most people but they just don't know since they are hypnotized.
