5 ppm of O3 blocks almost all UV radiation. CO2 at current levels is saturated. Increase will not lead to warmer or cooler. They are better off arguing CO2 is bad for breathing then causing climate change.

Bit of a personal bugbear, but Galileo spent his life under house arrest because, like many smart men, he was also incredibly stupid. To render down a more complicated story into a sentence or three - the Pope asked him to write a book about the arguments for and against heliocentrism, but the book appeared to breach the agreement of an impartial analysis and... and this was likely the real reason Galileo got into trouble... it appeared to publicly ridicule the Pope. The Pope, previously one of his biggest supporters, handed him over to the Inquisition as a result.

Remember, Copernicus had already presented these ideas with little problem and even some acceptance from the Church. Galileo talked himself into trouble, with his theories being used mostly as an excuse.

Not sure how they can do this considering Climate Change has still not been definitively proven. Even the creator of the weather channel itself, with over 60 years of experience, says it's a hoax for the elites to make more money by carbon taxing us.

Yes I agree that this is concerning but there's no need for false statements to seem extra dramatic.

This is bad, but groups denying it when it's destroying the world is very irresponsible.

Even if all cars stopped driving tomorrow and all heavy industry shut down, it still might be too late, as the permafrost has begun to go, and and it is releasing tons of methane into the air which in turn compounds the problems even more and all the extra melt effects the oceans. Global warming isn't a myth, it's a fact, how much man has caused it, and is causing it right now in 2017 is still up for discussion, to shut that discussion down would be the height of political SJW folly.

Stop trying to derail the thread. The premise starts by stating that denying the AGW claim should be punishable as a crime. When the door is opened for criminal charges based on opinion, then the same can be done to regular people. Another example is how Sweden has criminalized if you point out any wrongdoing by Muslim immigrants. Like the old lady who pointed out, and I think she posted pics can't remember. All she wrote was that she saw Muslim immigrants defecating in the streets and she is the one facing jail, and a fine...

In the same manner, this is not the first time that AGW "believers" have called to make it a criminal charge to even question the AGW claim. Not to mention, the fact is that government institutions, and governments like Canada make claims, just like some others, that the "science is settled", and alongside the claims made by AGW "believers" the Canadian government also posts the "belief in AGW" as if it was true, and not just a belief.

IMO this is a test to see how governments like Canada can go about by making criminal charges against people and any institution that would dare question "AGW". There will be more "testing the waters" so that they can find the best way to achieve their goals.

Since it isn't just Canada, but many nations, and including the UN who have fallen in the AGW bandwagon. This is not going to end here, they will continue trying to find the best way to make it a crime to disagree with the AGW claim.

Except for the fact that CO2 is not a "cigarette"... All life on this planet is carbon based because CO2 is a basic component of life on this planet, and not because of the deluded claim "that CO2 is a pollutant"...
