My Alexas and my Laptop are talking about me behind my back....and I think they're planning a coup.

It's the main reason I still haven't bought a robot sex doll.

Thanks...but I'd really like one with a lot less mileage on it.

The trade off is the lobotomy keeps it docile.

I like them better when they try to resist.

Makes them seem more life-like.

Electrodes. Just sayin.

You brought back a memory.
They used to have an educational show on TV early in the morning on weekdays called 'Sunrise Semester'. I remember an episode of it where they had cats in a laboratory doing testing. They had electrodes implanted through their skulls with wire connected to them.
The cats were normal until the electrodes were given an electrical signal. The cats were introduced to a mouse and started to go after it.... but then the scientists powered up the electrodes and the cats cowered in fear of the mouse.
The wonders of science.

That sounds perfectly cruel. It disgusts me. How would you like electrodes attached to your brain for some stupid experiment? Humans are so cruel.

Next time the scientists get the electrodes and the cats get the controller.
Hmm not so funny now is it scientists?

I bet you were hoping they cranked that machine up to 'crispy' so you wouldn't have to go out for Chinese.

I'm positive you were hearing an auto-play video-ad... It was in the background of something on one of the open windows.

You wouldn't necessarily see it.. or HAVE to be seeing it.

If over paranoid.. Put small piece of tape over both webcam and microphone...

I'm going to lay low now.
I am getting flamed for something that a scientist at NYU did in the 1960's.

Once we have cat scientists that can catch human scientists and install electrodes in their brains, I will be happy to watch their educational program, provided that the cat producers can get the show on CBS (Cat Broadcasting System) without a hitch.

Maybe the experimentation laid the groundwork for things like this...
Science Daily, where electrical stimulation of the brain can improve the memory of Alzheimer's Disease patients.

I have this issue on my PC speakes. Sometimes I can pick up a local ham radio operator's voice, and also a mexican radio station. I can only hear it once in awhile, but it is definitely my speakers picking up interference.

Perhaps this is the same situation for you.. although I'm not sure if a laptop speaker does the same as a desktop speaker.

I was going to suggest this as well. You may have accidentally received something from someone driving by on a CB radio or a nearby Ham radio.

It can happen.
