Malfunction of the Melania-bot: was the first lady’s Missoni dress an act of rebellion?

But, as is often the case with Melania, this act of rebellion was quickly followed by an act of conformity so blithe and lacking in self-awareness it can only be described as Trumpian. A mere two days after Missonigate, Melania strode on into heelgate, when she was photographed flying off to Houston, which seemed to have been washed out into the Gulf of Mexico, in the highest heels ever worn on feet that weren’t actually made out of Barbie plastic. Commentators snorted, but there was something almost admirable in her lack of pretence. I mean, come on, did anyone really think that blow dry was going out into the storm, let alone wading through bacteria-infested water, to help the little people who now help to pay for her lifestyle? Please.

They do it all the time. They are constantly trolling Melania and Ivanka. The Guardian is the most hypocritical outfit I can think of right now; Liberals false to the core. They have put me off Liberalism FOREVER.

Melania is a beautiful Woman. She is a powerful Woman who came to the U.S and had to work hard doing some less than desirable work, but she got it done. Any Pole Dancer Girl knows how hard she has to work. Any glamour girl knows it has to be done as it is just using her assets and playing the game of opportunity that way.

Melania's past is for me something that adds some reality to the White House. As a modern Woman she has achieved so much.

I think she is a good First Lady. I don't find her even slightly offensive. President Trump is a lucky guy.

The Guardian are such bullies. They are so quick to champion the Feminist cause yet as soon as a powerful Woman, who meets their requirements, happens by with her own alternative politics they have even gone as far as to call her the very lowest thing you could call a Woman.

Mean while the Guardian are busy slating the First Lady while Americans are in big trouble with the storms and could really do with some support and not having people bish about the voted in First Lady right now instead of CARING about Mother Nature's Media Storm.

America, you have a very nice, very attractive First Lady. She has experienced life in all its colors, too. I hope I have managed to get across what I wanted. It is not political, just human. I don't like to see a Lady like her so bullied. I didn't like it when the "others" were so mean to Michelle, either. It's just not fair game to do that.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we just got through 8 years of "persecution" of the "man" that was married to Obama. Sucks when the obvious is pointed out ain't it?

Exactly, I thought that as vile, too.

Obama and Trump are the politicians, not their wives. There is a fine line between civility and savagery. Gawd, humans are terrible. Lol, no wonder I stay in my house and only peep out the doors to go for walks in nature and buy supplies. Give me the hermit's life any day.

They never used to be. I used to really dig that Newspaper. It's that new editor they got. She's ruined it, lol. They did actually say they would be going more tabloid for financial reasons. The dumbed down world requires dumbed down media.

Only the same way as Arnie did. He is America's own now and so is she. Her business interest now are more than making up for it. She may earn a lot, but she is making money for America, too.

Just seems an odd time to be bashing the First Lady. More usually it would be letting her have a podium to support the people. Michelle did get plenty of coverage during the crises that happened during Obama's terms.

Well gee, the only difference is the fact that the overwhelming majority of the media are going out of their way to dis both Melania and Trump. We didn't see that with Obummer and Michelle. So try again.

Don't have to try again. I just remember the board here and their "sources".
You apparently don't like hypocrisy being pointed out.

It's really no big deal. Outlets like the Guardian heckle her because she's not a person of color and she's not Muslim.

Simple really, we see it all the time here in the US and for much the same reasons.

Believe me, you've got a lot of company in that sentiment.

The First Lady is beautiful and feminine. Two things that remind ugly feminist journalists and effeminate lefty manboobs of their low sexual market value and the losses they suffer against female beauty, and masculine men with sexual market options. We all know that is what is at the root of your bitching, and so do you.

Oh wow. What a petty pitiable woman this is who wrote this... her hatefulness and bitterness is going to eat her alive. The saddest part of it all is that she doesn't seem to have any idea that her words say far more about her than about either the First Lady or the President. So so sad.

I have never appreciated the personal attacks against our First Ladies. Their position is truly a labor of love -- for their husbands, their countrymen, and their nation -- and a thankless job to say the least! All of which makes me respect and admire them that much more. Usually more than their husbands...

And Melania is no exception. Her graciousness and class is an asset to the office and to the nation and to all of us. And she is definitely the President's greatest asset!

What? LOL What power? Pussy power?

What is "less than desirable" work? Pornography? Girl on girl porn? She HAD to do that?

I am so sick of this lie. The President must accept a salary, its in the US Constitution. What he does with that salary is his own business, In the meantime, this president is using the Oval Office for business profit, to a tune that dwarfs his measly, tax deductible donation of $400K a year.
