I think the reason why you do not see too much footage of Cuba and the Caribbean on TV is to avoid having to provide aid and lose money. As the eye passed slowly over Cuba, there was not too much footage except for some anchor hanging out near the water; and after it passed not much footage, if at all of the destruction.

Why would you need your generosity remembered so you can ego stroke yourself in the comfort of your own home, and say "look everyone I helped those poor people, I am good and compassionate, everyone should like me and trust me "

Generosity through compassionate acts of charity should be anonymous , seeking recognition or acknowledgement for acts of compassion only serves the ego
