Nope... you're confused. Progressives may have advocated for Eugenics in the early 20th... but that ideology doesn't equate to modern progressive or liberals. Good lord man... bone up or STFU.

Says the person who apparently doesn't know that the word "leftist" didn't come into use until the 1930s.
I never stated otherwise. It looks like we have more than one failure here.
Well, it's certain there are many failures here, like for example, not understanding the history of either eugenics or the term leftist.
Let's see if you can work that out on your own, eh?

I'm not sure what your point about the word leftists has to do with anything, and even less, I don't know why you keep bringing it up. As for eugenics, the facts are quite clear.

Oh, and socialists too. Stick your head in some more sand; it looks better.
Well, so much for that hope.
You made the claim above that eugenics had something to do with leftists. That is blatantly wrong.
Eugenics was considered a legitimate science from the early 20th century until after WWII.
It has nothing to do with "leftists."

Are you saying early socialists, progressive and the like, were not left-wing? I've heard some stretches before in my life, but this takes the cake.

hahahaha... I can just see you sitting there with your finger and your thumb in the shape of an "L" on your forehead.
Look.... the point is that early 20th century ideologies don't equate to modern ideologies or party affiliation. I've seen this idiotic argument so many times now, coming from modern right wingers. It's as if they want to convince us that modern Conservative Republicans is the party of liberty, civil rights and equality when we all know that's the furthest thing from the truth.
Here's your headline: British Politician: Tories Guilty Of ‘Eugenics’ Against Disabled People published July 10th, 2017 not 1917
And honestly..... "failure" isn't an insult. I've failed more times than I can remember. If you haven't failed at something than you haven't tried to do anything.
Later....
Peddle your strawman elsewhere.
I stated that eugenics WAS NOT a phenomenon of leftists and WAS accepted science in the early 20th century.

Well that's convenient, isn't it? But you're wrong. The fundamental notion of progressivism is "progress", and that's the exact justification used by early progressives to advocate for eugenics.
Derp....
So... the fundamental notion of Conservativism is conservation? lol... omg... Please read a book or two... maybe do an internet search.... bang your head against the wall... anything to get some knowledge in that noggin.
Peace out bro... I feel confident that those of your ilk are on their way out. Thank goodness.

Um, yes it is. Just like the fundamental idea of liberalism is liberty. What level of education did you finish again?

A leftist is someone who supports and advocates the political views of the left. Early 20th-century progressives and socialists advocated the political views of the left. Therefor they are leftists. You don't even know what a strawman is.
When he was Home Secretary (February 1910-October 1911) Churchill was in favor of the confinement, segregation, and sterilization of a class of persons contemporarily described as the “feeble minded.”
"The unnatural and increasingly rapid growth of the feeble-minded and insane classes, coupled as it is with steady restriction among all the thrifty, energetic and superior stocks constitutes a national and race danger which is impossible to exaggerate. I feel that the source from which the stream of madness is fed should be cut off and sealed before another year has passed."

This is the same mentality that claims that the German Nazis were "socialists" because the word is in their name.
I kid you not; that's an actual argument.

I believe it... I'm dumbfounded... but I'm not the product of public "education"
Collective Liberty or Individual Liberty?
You keep implying that I'm stupid... why don't you just come out and say it? Or are you actually trying to convince yourself?
