Famous author Dinesh D’Souza goes back in history to "discover" the roots of the Progressive/Democrat agenda.

He takes you back to President Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) and the Democrat Party that started it all !!

Famous legislation like the Federal Reserve Act was passed by Democrats.

D'Souza even describes FDR as “America’s actual fuhrer”

He may have a point.

Almost a century ago, President Woodrow Wilson watched approvingly as the title card appeared on the screen, "The former enemies of North and South are united again in defense of their Aryan birthright."

Birth of a Nation was the first movie to play inside the White House. Many credit the film, based on the novel The Clansman, with reviving the KKK and exporting it from New Jersey to Oregon.

Woodrow Wilson was the first modern progressive Democrat in the White House. The road to the Democrats that we know today ran directly through the White House where Birth of a Nation played. And so did the rebirth of the KKK. When the Democrats complain about the Klan, Dinesh D’Souza reminds us in The Big Lie that they were behind the KKK and they revived it not once, but twice.

FDR was the worst President of all time. Reagan fixes his issues, that's a good example of a reason the Left likes the Right on a good day.

Then you say dumb # like "they're nazis" and then it's just another Thursday on ATS.

Progressives in th US were very much into eugenics and scientific racism, just like the Nazis.

So which is it Xu. Was Roosevelt a Nazi or a Communist?

And yes it was the first movie to be screened at the White House. Why? Because it was such a big big movie at the time. A block buster 12 reeler. And why else? Because prior to that there was no projector and screen to view it on in the White House.

Why do conservatives think they are on to something whenever they bring up Democrats being racist in the past? Just because it happened in the past doesn't mean that is how things are today. Why do you guys always skip over the part of history where the racist Democrats switched sides to the Republicans? Oh wait, because that conflicts with your ridiculous premise that early 1900's Democrats have the same beliefs as 2017 Democrats.

Reagan was one of the most corrupt Presidents of all time (*cough* Iran/Contra *cough*) and FDR is one of the greatest for pulling the US out of the Great Depression and being a great leader during WWII. Your perception of history is rather skewed.

That's untrue. It was very much opposed by many people, Christians for example. Even your notion that it was FDR that brought the US out of the Great Depression is a distortion of history.

Nah. FDR has good intentions but destroyed the foundation of America by revoking the idea a central bank is bad, and tender currency ALWAYS leads to a central bank. We fought a war over this idea, it was called the Revolutionary War, and he took a massive number 2 on that idea with his "New Deal". Reagan fixed this economic buggaloo with petro dollars and America has owed him ever since.

I also generally think Reagan was an ass and FDR was a straight guy, but never mind my single comments forecasting an enormous straw man for your own conversation. I still generally hate Republicans but if we can't even agree on what they do right then there's no point of conversation at all.

After world war two, they brought a lot of Nazi war criminals back, such as Braun Werner. IBM was another thing, run by them.

So? There are always detractors to leading scientific theory, but that doesn't discount my point that not just Democrats believed that theory.

No we didn't. The Revolutionary War was fought because a bunch of smugglers didn't want to pay taxes on corporate products they were forced to buy because they were sponsored by the British government. A good portion of the colonies didn't even want to fight the war until Franklin ran his propaganda campaign to unite the colonies, and even then they still had trouble drumming up support for the war.

I don't give a shake what your personal opinions of the men are, you are 100% wrong about both of them and the history you are talking about.
