Whether the entire left is like Richard Dawkins or not isn't the point. The point is that many more people that are not you ostracized him for his critique of Islam, but didn't care that he did so of Christianity. If one believes religion is a pox on mankind, that should be troubling.

I think you are on to something here. The left used to be about freedoms with little gov as possible. The kind that were for freedom from oppressive gov now are the ones that want more and more rules and taxes. Thus, oppressing others.

The so called leader in the 50's of the Soviet Union was Nikata Krushchev (sp) who declared he would take over America without firing a shot. When I'm simply for more freedoms, I've found myself at odds with leftists on some issues and rightists on other issues. I disagree with the socialists, communists, anarchists, New Dealers, Republicans and democrats.

Seems I can't find a single party that agrees with me 100%.

Just being for free speech has put me at odds with practically every single person on this site except for you and maybe a few others.

I'm with you on that one. I can get along with any political view so long as they defend and champion free speech. It is what allows different views in the first place. In fact, the more views and variation the better.
