Its not up to Trump . Congress has to address this issue .

Simple child psychology. President Trump could say we are keeping DACA and the lefties would holler & scream to get rid of it. OK...let's get rid of it.

I agree with what you say, except "it's all about economics".

most of the long term illegals have to make a living. If on welfare...need to go. If you are talking about economics big business, that could be a whole nother thread. The low earners who work for low wages on farms...that is different.

If they were so well educated, why didn't they apply for citizenship? They had like their whole lives. I bet the normal ones have already done just that, it is the criminals shuffling from sanctuary cities that won't sign up ever, because they are criminals and would go to jail where they belong.

Most of my family came to this country as immigrants legally, and we all fully support this act. People who came here illegally should be thrown out. There are lines of immigrants who wait for years to get into the the US legally, so that they can be a productive part of society. Why should these illegals get to skip to front of the line? Sorry I do not feel they should be able to stay. Those who want them to stay should sponsor them and open up their own homes for them.

Why is the DACA program being looked at now? From what I've read, the children are growing up and contributing to society. Not killing, or living off welfare. U.S. citizens feel that there are real challenges for the President to tackle. The DACA immigrants are way down their list of priorities. Why NOW?

we could be looking at this the wrong way... yes, the transition will be painful, messy, and possibly bloody.. but many of them have had the benefit of good education systems and have applied themselves. I have friends who are in this category. I begged them 4 years ago to get on the path to citizenship.. no one made the effort, and now here we are.

If your actions as a leader lead the people into something like starting fires and riots, couldn´t it be that a weak leadership is the reason? Weak because of dividing the nation he has to lead, instead of uniting it?

Could he not pursue some high profile policies that bring people together, instead of constantly going after policies that will divide people more and more?

It's got Obama's name tied to it so of course Trump will kill it. That's his entire agenda. Wipe out everything Obama so only Trump's name will be left. The CEO's from just about every major company in the country as well as the majority of religious leaders have come out in support of DACA but Trump knows best. He 'knows things other people don't know'. He's a freaking genius and he proves it every day.

I agree with you but at the same time, I think to my self, parents that bring their kids to the US looking for a better way of life knowing that they are doing it illegally, but since we are becoming a society of compassion and caring for the needs of the others that we tend to forget that the Dreamer protection is like placing a sign on the door for the burglar to let him know the doors unlock and to take anything they want and you will be home at this time, in another words just inviting them in. I have no problem with those that are here already under the act but moving forward we need to take the sign down and let them know that if you want your kids to have a better life to do it legally.
