Donald J. Trump is the type of human being that's becoming harder to find. He always tries his best to fulfill his promises. Even if he gets no help in implementing that fulfillment.

For instance, after the Republican Majority in Congress gave Americans the middle-finger, by NOT fulfilling their promise to Repeal-Replace ACA-ObamaCare, President Trump began doing what he could (without Congress's help) to get this horrible law eliminated from the American landscape.

Today, his administration enacted the first major cut to ObamaCare funding...saving taxpayers well over $100 million dollars this year alone.

The Trump administration will slash spending meant to help enroll people in Obamacare, making good on the president’s threat to let the law wither after Republicans failed to repeal it earlier this year.

Arguing that the promotional spending was ineffective, the Health and Human Services department will cut the sign-up advertising budget to $10 million for 2018 coverage, down 90% from the $100 million spent for 2017 enrollment.

The administration will also reduce payments to groups that help people choose among their health insurance options under the law. Last year, those “navigators” got $62.5 million. Spending on them will be cut by 39 percent for the coming enrollment period, according to the agency, which oversees much of the law.

Congress lied to Americans, because that's what swamp politicians do. But President Trump comes from an old-school business background, where keeping your word, is important for success. It defines your character and integrity.

There are additional measures coming down the pipe from the Administration/HHS, that will force Congress to come up with a replacement for ObamaCare before the end of September. Apparently, they need to be coerced into keeping their promises to the American people. That is sad!

Except he doesn't try hard to fulfill his promises. He does the least amount of work possible, only focusing on the things he is good at : self-aggrandizing and appealing to his base.

His policy proposals are far too "high level" to be of help to anyone in Congress. And without a specific, granular proposal, he doesn't have the ability to stump for it to drive up public support, because no one knows what the hell he's talking about.

Don't look for this to change anytime soon. It's what he does.

You got to do something. What you had and what you have now isn't working. I say fund the individual states and let them handle it on that level. Needs vary state to state.

We need to go back to pre 1967. Let the true free market determine what is affordable. No government involvement.

Aggregate Health Spending and the Overall EconomyOver the last half century, total U.S. health expenditures steadily increasedas a share of gross domestic product (GDP),demonstrating the increased importance that society placesonhealth care relative to other non-health goods and services.During 1960 -2013, the health spending share of GDP increased from 5.0to 17.4percent(Exhibit 1).Over the same period, average annual growthin nominal national health expenditureswas 9.2percent compared to nominal GDP growth of 6.7percent. Why not ? Pelosi held the House hostage until they passed it. Obama promised that the bill would be posted on the gov website for all to read. And it was. Until the last draft was made . Then it was taken down and that is when Pelosi made her famous statement . "We have to pass it before we know whats in it " . That statement alone is treasonous .

Obama stood in front of Congress and proclaimed "if you like your policy , you can keep your policy" and "if you like your doctor , you can keep your doctor". A young Senator stood up and said "You lie" . The Senator was heavily berated and forced out of the Senate. Only to find out later , that Senator was absolutely , positively correct.

The ACA was , and still is , unpopular among the population . The website was altered to adjust that. If you sign up to shop , you are considered to have an Obamacare policy whether or not you do. That kept up the facade that it was popular

The insurance companies were promised money from the Federal government to assist the companies in the ability to offer cheaper and cheaper insurance for the people. These insurance companies also found out what that Congressman had said. "You lie" was correct as well

End Rant (truthful , but still..)

That is exactly what the Lindsay Graham is proposing immediately after Congresses Summer Vacation comes to an end. He also has the backing of 30 governors.

If Congress had any brains, they'd let the free-market system come back to life. People who don't qualify, should be allowed to enroll in Medicare or Medicaid. Two single-payer systems that already exist!!!

Free market, in a corporate controlled industry with almost no competition?

Compared to what we have today, with 40% of America having ZERO choices for health insurance, just 4 choices would be a huge improvement. Allowing the free-market to operate again, would guarantee at least 4 choices in each state.

It also reduces enrollment in ObamaCare. Many companies are leaving the ObamaCare market at the end of this year. (Aetna, Humana, BCBS in some states..) Many people don't know how to choose another company.

President Trump is making sure that the government is NOT going to be there to help them choose.

Just another point of pressure, to goad wimpy Congressmen into a quick Repeal/Replace.

But for people who are chronically ill, those are the two best options for them. Unless of course the U.S. government wants to set up YET ANOTHER program, just to take care of people who are not approved for private health insurance.

there is only one answer to this debacle and im honestly surprised Trump hasnt done it yet but maybe hes gearing up to do exactly what im about to propose.

Trump must force Congress to admit to the American people that they DO NOT care about us and will never give us a fair health care program that actually serves Americans without raping their bank accounts.

How can Trump do this?

Simple.

Get on TV and tell the american people he has done everything he can to encourage Congress to do their job and they have repeatedly failed to do it.

Tell the American people that it was his ultimate plan all along to repeal Obamacare and bring in a fair Single Payer system.

Naturally this will piss off a large portion of his base....but its a calculated strategy to force Congress to admit to America that they never had any intention of creating a health care model that is anything close to the Canadian/EU model. I live in the EU and have experienced their health care. Its not great but it makes the American model look like a dumpster fire.

Trump needs to tell the American people that hes ready to give them what he promised and that promise is Single Payer where EVERYONE is insured regardless of pre existing conditions and that it is his dream and goal to make sure that not a single American citizen is without care, not ACCESS, but real actual usable health care you arent scared to pursue due to high deductibles or other anti human nonsense.

If Trump did this it would force the debate and put YUGE pressure on Congress and all Trumps enemies to respond clearly and forcefully. They will be forced to admit they have no plan, or that they dont believe Trump, or that they will renew and double their efforts to do for Americans what other countries have been able to do for far less money.

Such a bold, over the top move is the only thing thats going to help Trump on healthcare. Repeal and Replace doesnt mean anything to the average person....it might as well be a foreign language no one knows what that means. But people DO know what "Universal Healthcare" means......people DO know what Medicare for all means.....what single payer means.

Trump has to do the right thing both morally and politically. Morally its simply inexcusable that the mightiest nation to ever walk the earth will not give its citizens reasonable healthcare for a reasonable price when other countries have been doing it for decades. It is not moral for lawmakers to allow insurance companies to write our laws giving themselves huge profits and reducing their commitments to the marketplace and its people.

Politically its the only chess move that will buy Trump some time and breathing room and force the debate back upon the do nothing DC swamp creature culture that has nearly suffocated all life out of this once great nation.

You can do it Trump, do something different, do something bold, something wild, do something that will shake the foundations of their house of cards.....show the american people you really are on our side if thats the case.
