I don't protect anyone. I hope fairness for everyone, even Hillary even though I opposed her in the election.

Anything in the Russia investigation is important to trump.
This suggests that the original draft may support an obstruction of justice charge.
Of course it could also do the opposite and exonerate trump.
At this point we have no idea what the draft may contain.
We know trump is prone to jumping off the deep end in how he responds to pressure. It could be a hot mess.

Considering it takes Mueller a year or two to read a few sentences in the draft, the draft presents no threat to Trump most likely.

Try this...

BREAKING NEWS: Testimony about early drafts of his statement shows Comey KNEW Clinton was innocent months before he made public statements declaring the same, but he continued the investigation right up until the election, even re-opening it a week before, to hurt her chances of winning!

REALITY CHECK:

The evidence showed she was guilty as sin, and should be in prison like anyone else would be without the bat of an eye.

The law the GOP accused her of breaking has only been successfully used in prosecution ONCE in the past 100 years and there was a tonnage of clear evidence in that case that does not exist with Hillary Clintons circumstances.

That is REALITY.

What you are engaging in is ideological fantasy fiction.

If Comey didn't do interviews it would have been too obvious. He had to make it look it it was a real investigation.

If Comey hadn't announced he was re-opening the investigation ONE WEEK before election day, Trump and the GOP would not have been able to dominate the news media beating the crap out of her right before voting.

If Comey had wrapped up the investigation in the Spring...It would not have been "Clinton Email Server" dominating headlines for months..

The Premise that he was trying to help Clinton is ultra-contrary to what occurred in reality.

Well based on the fact the polls were always wrong for reasons of making people think Hill had it so no need to even think about voting against her, IMO that was being challenged logically by neutral parties but the media was and still is in brainwash mode, (your eyes didn't see that, your ears didn't hear that).

National polling (Nation Wide) were actually accurate and predicted the popular vote.

Local and state level polling was woefully wrong. A good argument can be made that the growth of the internet has shrunk local newspapers and local news media and the infrastructure was lacking to properly predict state localities and districts. Trump's team (Parcel) created a good data operation that revealed what counties/districts they could flip and that is what they did.

So when you say "Polls", it helps to be specific.

Sure. He also had his investigative notes, evidence, ways and means all right in front of him and that told him everything he needed to know. It didn't add up to a hill of beans that's what.

You only think it was done incorrectly because it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to.

Justice to the Clinton crime cabal would go a long way in restoring some faith in the government

The only part of the government people don't have faith in is the president.

Let us know when you get to the cover up part.

Trump actually tweeted about this. He has no understanding at all. He thinks this means something when all it shows is that Comey recognized that there was no case even before he interviewed Clinton.
Wow trump reads half the words and doesn't understand the other half.
Jumps to conclusions. Forms answers based on his beliefs not actual information.
I knew from the published evidence last spring that there was no case. Several progressive media sites had come to the same conclusions and it was hotly debated here all last spring and early summer so it should not come as a surprise to anyone that those sites saying they saw no case were in fact correct and no one needed Clinton's words to come to the conclusion that Comey eventually announced.
I know it goes counter to the whole "conspiracy" but that conclusion was the only logical and legal one he could come to. Legal experts agree.

Possibly because most folks accept the conclusions and see no need for it?
Yup that could be...probably is, the reason.

You do know he wasn't working that case alone right? In fact as director he probably only got reports from the agents activity working the case. You guys act like he was doing this all alone behind everyone's back when we know there were at least twenty agents working that case as we learned back in April or May last year. That number alone had ATS frothing at the mouth sure it meant they were looking hard at her and had the evidence they needed to put her away. There were a few threads about how many agents were working the case.
Seems to have been forgotten.

Right around the time most of us had accepted that there was nothing prosecutable there. Sounds like he was on the ball to me.

You know what I hear a lot from you guys since the election. Get over it.

To you I say the same.

Get over it.

How can you say that when Comey did this before taking the evidence from the witnesses?

Maybe because he had all the physical evidence already examined and, barring a confession from one of the witnesses, no charges were going to be brought?

By my last check the FBI never reviewed the files on that server. How can they know the facts?

The FBI did go over her private server which is what this thread is about. You are conflating it with the GOP propaganda about how the FBI never inspected the DNC server directly.
