At this point, Republicans don't even care about themselves. They probably want to lose Congress next year and retire until the 2022 midterms to take back Congress.

If Republicans don't fix the Health Insurance market THIS YEAR, and pass Tax Cuts THIS YEAR, I will agree with you 110%.

Unfortunately these bozos only have 40 more working days before their CHRISTMAS vacation! People on Welfare work harder!

We all make do with what I got. We turn what little we go into something plentiful. We don't complain we were provided with little. We ask ourselves what can we do to make what little we are given into something plentiful. If Congress works with Trump instead of with Russia and China then America could become MAGA. We all know who Congress works for. China and Russia.

Dumb people get millions and become homeless beggar. Smart people get thousands and become millionaires. Americans get Trump. They complain they got a stupid president. They forget. If they work with Trump and help Trump, they can MAGA. Instead of complaining, they should work hard like Trump. They complain America sucks. It's because they don't work hard.

Obama with his blatant race obsession and 1.6% GDP growth and staggering national debt. Yep, Obama was a great president.

87% of the Media was in Obama's corner. Even when he skipped placing a wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier, his first Memorial Day in office..ONLY ONE media outlet reported it.

The media loved Obama because he is liberal, and respected him an extra dosage, because he was/is Black.

"Whatever could these horrible poll numbers mean (that just happen to jive with every other poll taken by every other outlet week after week)?"

"Could it be [list everybody in the universe except Trump, himself]'s fault?"

"Yeah, that's the ticket!"

I guess the best we can do is look out for our own skin, and help those in need, as best we can. Is that how you see America right now, DBCowboy?

Why do we insist upon polls when evidence has shown they're actually worth nearly nothing...?

How many voters did they poll? How many answers they didn't like were scrubbed?

Polls are worth exactly nothing, unless I suppose, they back whatever political opinion they're supposed to.

I would normally ignore a poll like this, if it came from the usual Anti-America MSM. But the fact that the same 1300 respondents that Fox Polls every month, are this down on President Trump RIGHT NOW, made my alarm bells go off.

If Trump is president in Russia, Russia people and congress and media would help him make Russia great. If Putin is president in America, America people and congress and media would oppose him and make America suck. It's not the leader. It's what YOU do for your country. A strong leader is weak without support of his country. A weak leader is strong with support of his country.

Americans complain they got a crappy president. That is false. Trump is not crappy. America sucks not because of Trump, but because America people and congress and media oppose Trump and make America crappy.

Pretty much.

But that's how I've always seen America.

Our inefficiencies created the very monsters we are forced to elect. I am complaining, yes. The current state of our country is so mediocre I want to vomit. Trump is not the answer, he is us throwing in the towel this round. Hillary is just as repulsive. I am complaining. I don't have to like this. I voted the best option in my mind, full well knowing neither were worthy. Then I realized we deserve all of them. I am complaining because we Americans cannot get on the same page, not even close. We argue, bicker, yell, spew hate. Go effing figure a bombastic, vulgar President resides in the WH. He is a reflection of us. Not necessarily you, or me, but of how we all are failing. So yeah, I'm complaining. Next go around I will vote for someone else, a candidate who may or may not be better. No President can fix us, only we can, bottom to top. We should all complain a hell of a lot louder. We should all get really pissed off at our failure to cooperate and move forward together. Then, maybe then, when we've identified the failure and take accountability for it together, then we will be able to find our way, our Champion.

There should be a pole which checks if people think the Media and the hard left are tearing the country apart.

Not many people approve of the way that things are going, Trump is just protecting himself and doing a bad job on Twitter with that.

You know what? I bet there are polling organizations who ask this question. But the problem is, who will publish it? Not the media. I accidentally went into the "back door" of a polling organization last month. It had a raw sheet that showed CNN as being the most divisive network. That poll was paid for by CNN! Needless to say, it never saw the light of day.

Here we go. Trump, in 8 months, managed to destroy the racial unity that Obama worked so hard for.

Wait.. Hahahahaha never mind

I work with all kinds of people in my insurance and finance career. Trust me when I say that Obama's presence in the White House did NOTHING to promote racial unity.

Open border will do that. Spanish people lost Texas, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Florida by war. They take them back with people.

My thoughts exactly. It appears that Republican voters are turning sour on Trump, because his "art of the deal" doesn't work in Government.

If Democrats were smart, they'd put tape over the mouths of Schumer/Pelosi/Waters...put all Antifa and Black Lives in jail.. and just start campaigning with their 2018 ideas RIGHT NOW.

But maybe they're not THAT smart.

So half the country, most of congress, many republicans and numerous military leaders are all just crappy and wrong eh? Have you ever stopped to think, maybe this Trump guy is not all that we hoped for and many people saw that from the beginning? Have you ever considered what an apologist is and how inaccurate it can make one's perception? I'm not being coy or trying to insult you, I just feel that constantly defending his every short coming then blaming the hell spawned left is getting old and is dishonest.
I don't know, I just feel this is truth unfolding...

That is part of the reason so many shunned the idea of this man leading (not just cheering) our country. Many see right through him. Many just wanted something different and non-hillary, which is understandable, but it looks like simple truth is rearing it's head. This man is incapable of such a complex, diplomatic and intelligent role it seems. He seems to push more folks away than bring them together. I don't think it's going to get any better because, well....truth in inadequacy.

His narcissism is a real turnoff as well and good example was his addressing Harvey. He just says what he thinks people want to hear, which ain't all that unusual from a politician, except what Trump says is not even what people want to hear and I can't help but think it's because he lacks couth and genuine empathy. He let's his ego prevent him from really connecting with folks beyond a superficial level and people can see that.

Some folks in Congress are concerned about Trump . Legitimate concerns. That he is exposing (or will expose) the corruption on all sides. The ones crying out the loudest are exactly the ones that have the most to lose . Including their freedom by going to prison. For a long , long time.
We see the "wailing and the gnashing of teeth" by some already.
It has begun.

If you click through from the FN story, you can look at the full data from the poll. The methodology looks sound (states polled individually, good sample size), but the questions are all over the place.

Most of the questions have a 'history', i.e., they have been asked during previous polls, and the information shows how those questions have been answered during previous samplings. Which is good. But the one about "tearing the country apart" has never been asked before now, so it's completely out of left field.

What's even odder is that the poll has historically (since around March/April) asked voters about a range of issues (e.g., Russia, terrorism, the economy). This little list is qs2 to 11, and you can see for yourself how the polling has wobbled up and down on those subjects... but the pollsters have suddenly asked about 'race relations', which is a question they have never asked before. There's no history - this is a 'snap judgement'.

So my feeling is that this poll is a 'rogue'. The inclusion of a new category (approval/disapproval of Trump's performance on race relations) has produced a sudden bulge in subject reactions.

And then, when they are asked to sum up (question 37) whether Trump is uniting or dividing the nation, they are nudging poll respondents to connect it with the race relations question, so of course they get a decisive majority saying he's tearing the country apart. Because that has been an underlying topic for around a fortnight:

REPORTER: The C.E.O. of Walmart said you missed a critical opportunity to help bring the country together. Did you?

The really, really odd thing about all this is that the 'uniting/dividing' question is q.37 and the poll data for questions 24 to 36 inclusive is "held for future release." IOW the poll respondents will have been talking for around five minutes about something we aren't being told before the new question was sprung on them.

TL;DR - this poll looks screwy, based on the data provided - and the data is suspiciously incomplete. What is the purpose of withholding data from an opinion poll, when it will be out-of-date within a fortnight?
