Yeah, its hard to not worry about where this is leading. Even more scary than the far Right or the far Left is the idea of a single party, single mindset rule by mob. The world has seen enough of that.

We seem to have evolved from segregation by race to segregation by political belief. Nothing has really changed, just the targets have changed. Tribalism seems to be beyond our control.

We've lost the fundamental elements of what freedom actually is.

We mess things up with so many redefinitions of what we want, that we ignore the foundation of what we are talking about.

How hard is it to default, to err, on the side of more (rather than less) freedoms?

Freedom is a burden no one wants to carry any more.

Yes we have, but a part of that is the right for businesses to chose who does and does not work for them. It's all part of the same thing.

there are reasons why free speech is codified in the constitutions and charters of rights and freedoms throughout the world. I wonder if people remember what those reasons are?

Hell, if you can't Tweet it, eat it, screw it or shoot it, then people don't want to know any more.

Firing people for tweets is just the beginning. I suspect eventually people will be fired for thoughts.

Free speech will not be tolerated at any university of higher learning.
