Sounds like we have a new destination for transporting the large mobs of newly arrived illegal immigrants from the southern border: Chicago.
With this legislation, busing illegal immigrants to Chicago would actually be a great destination for them. It'll better help them in their attempt to
unlawfully enter our country: without local LEO assistance, it'll be easier for illegal immigrants in Illinois to evade ICE and other law enforcement
agencies attempting to deal with the issue.
From the article:
"Illinois has been welcoming of immigrants for a long time, and this bill will continue that tradition," Rauner said. "It also makes clear that
stopping violent crime will be law enforcement's mission rather than working on federal prerogatives that a federal court has found illegal."
Is the governor aware of the source of the vast majority of illegal drugs that enter the country, and the proclivity of those illegally crossing the
southern border to participate in human trafficking, drug trafficking and arms trafficking?
This smells like political pandering to me.
