Anyone have any ideas, thoughts or theories on where the plane might be?

June 27 Information that one of the FBI's 22 most-wanted terrorists was affiliated with a 727 plane operator in Africa sparked major concern last week for U.S. counterterrorism agencies that terrorists could conduct an aerial assault against the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, sources told ABCNEWS.

The intelligence is particularly alarming after a Boeing 727 disappeared in Africa May 25 when it mysteriously sped from a runway in Angola.

U.S. intelligence agencies are trying to trace the plane's whereabouts using satellites and human intelligence, but have not yet been able to locate it.

This is the first time I heard about this airplane. It went missing in May? You would think they would be putting this on the TOP of the news and report it. How is anybody going to know about it. Or even turn it in if it is seen somewhere.

They haven't been able to find several boats that Bin Laden owns either.

I still believe they are planning a major attack on the U.S. using nuclear weapons. They could use that plane to drop nukes on us. Use those ships also and fire nukes off shore. I hope not. There are so many men that have joined Bin Laden his army keeps growing.

It could have just gone done in the deep dark jungles of Africa, and isn't found yet.....
Talk about needle in a haystack....

It happened in Africa, so no, of course it isn't tops on the news.... Unidentified airliners are going to be intercepted pretty quickly in this day and age....so I really don't see it being a big plot....

Yep my bad.Leaves in Africa?? Nothing grows there.
j/k
You would think there would have been some kind of radar lock on it when it took off.I would have thought that commercial airplanes would have a tracking devise on board as well.

CNN didn't know about it until 6 days after it went missing, some1 leaked or messed up.. I'm not accusing the gov't, just keep all possibilites visible, that's all

A plane really isnt that hard to hide, even at a busy airport... all you need to do is change the tail numbers, and file a false flight plan with the new numbers...

Unless agents storm aboard every aircraft and check the EIN numbers stamped in the airframe, how do you tell one aircraft from another one, especially if its been repainted and renumbered?

Keep in mind, there are thousands of 727s in the world being used for passenger, cargo, charter, and dozens of other uses.

Radar would pick that plane up. Unless they find a way to jam the radar.

Of course, the men/women could be asleep or out partying and nobody see anything.

On 9/11, the 2 planes that hit the towers spent ~45 minutes of unescorted time in flight. That was NORAD's foul-up. Has anyone heard of any improvements in this area?

If I were NORAD, I'd be worried that the plane will be rigged with some type of biowarfare agent & then sprayed over an extremely large area of terrain. In this scenario, any response time at all is too late. Pre-emptive interception is necessary, which NORAD has not yet demonstrated.
