City employees asking for ID, per their job duties, is not the same as asking for immigration status. If a person doesn't have ID they are turned away, not turned over to the FEDS.

Turned away?...

From the article..

"The Denver Public Safety Enforcement Priorities Act passed, 10-0, and bans city officials from asking an arrested individual's immigration status."

Arrested individuals.

And? What law requires city employees to determine immigration status from detainees?

Denver's Sherriff Dept. must be receiving training from Los Angeles on how to shield dangerous illegal immigrants.

They are "shielding" an illegal hit-and-run murderer from ICE deportation.
