Both the City and State of New York have got to be renamed.

They where named after The Duke Of York ( Later to become King James II of England )

The Duke Of York was the head man in The Royal African Company. One of the business interests of this company was the shipping of saves to The American Colonies.

It was because it used to be under Dutch control. The English may have stolen or captured it, hence the English name of York.
