Illegals in Maricopa county (going by arrest rates) fell by 13% from 2008 to 2010. In the same time frame, they fell by 15% across the rest of the country. Suggesting that Arpaio was underperforming.

Illegals would still come. Illegal asians are the biggest demographic. They come here on H1-b's and then never leave. There's a solution to that though, it's called getting better at your job and outcompeting them.

Maybe so, but if that's the case, and there's been double digit declines for well over a decade. Then maybe illegals aren't the problem you think they are? In which case, Arpaio is even more misguided.
