I caught a hint of this on my Facebook feed this morning. Where there is any news worthy of my attention, I always come here (to the LIVE page) first to see what I can find. I was surprised to not find anything here this morning and don't see anything in the search. Maybe it's become so run-of-the-mill that nobody thinks anything of it.

6 police officers shot in 3 US cities Friday night; 1 dead, 1 in 'grave' condition from a Houston ABC affiliate.

And video from another ABC affiliate from I don't know where...

A bad night for the folks patrolling the streets.

These are dangerous times to be a police officer. I think a lot of it is due to a few police officer who are too quick to use their gun and use excessive force. They've hurt the reputation of many good police officers across this country. I don't doubt much of the excessive force is due to the constant weekly frustration police officers face on the streets. Police are only human, and you con only push someone's button enough times until they crack.

I think too many times, a simple traffic stops turns into the driver being confrontational with the police. I think Attorney Joey Jackson said it best. He told his sons if they ever get pulled over, to answer the police officers questions and not to be confrontational. They can always make their case and complaint in court at a later time.

Well after seeing threads on here about Police officers planting drugs on people and even more threads showing the Police murdering people . Then its only a matter of time before people start shooting back at them and murdering them. I am glad that here in the UK our Police are not routinely armed .

This was an ambush in Kissimmee. I live 2 miles from the shooting and knew the officers. In the days leading up to this the man who is charged was talking about race wars and killing cops and whites. You will not see that in the media.

Everett Miller, AKA Malik Muhammed Miller
www.facebook.com...

Both cops are now dead as the second passed about an hour ago. I hope this piece of garbage does not make it out of county.

There are bad people in every job. One bad cops does not allow the killing of police.

This one troubles me, on a personal level. I am a pacifist, wish harm upon none...yet I find it difficult to find sympathy for this, given the recent ( one might say not recent at all) blitz of hyper aggressive cops, clear cases of injustice, and the us v. them attitude many LEOs seem to exhibit. Troubles me to no end, my conscience is troubled. Still -I wish peace and healing to their families. Wish there was a solution all could benefit from, though.

The media and their loyal followers will either ignore it or spin it as Trumps fault.

What that a deflection?

You want to see the cops on the U. K armed, I don't need to reread anything.. Bud.

I was wondering myself why this news wasn't posted earlier.
Sad to see 6 officers killed , and I don't care if some in LE are unfair, it's a lousy excuse to take it out on random cops. It's doing essentially what BLM complains about .. targeting the innocent for the crimes of other black people.

Statues, police, schools.... As long as someone somewhere doesn't like it , it has become a target.... Welcome to a brave new world.

No such thing as a good police officer in the US anymore.

Yes, ever since Cambridge, it has been gospel among certain elements that all police "act stupidly" and therefore, they get what's coming to them.

The problem we have now is this:

You run down the job and the people who do it and make it more difficult and dangerous to do because you insist no good people do it, and pretty soon, just like with politics, there *will* be no good people who will do it.

Self-fulfilling prophecy.
