You should obey the rule of the supreme galactic overlord kitties.

Glad the ones alright and hopefully will have a safe set of future overlords to ensure that cats will rule for a long time but i'd get her done as she's by the looks of it done her job and its not fun with females in season.

Its not good for owners of male cats who can smell a female in season as they can disappear for days and sodding typical they decide to finally get the urges 3 days before the vets appointment.

Oy.....EIGHT kittens!
She was probably knocked up by the ugliest Tom in the neighborhood.

Your advice on the kittens was exactly what the vet said.

Actually, she was likely knocked up by *every* Tom in the neighborhood. Litters can be fathered by more than one tom.

I'm a dog person that got "chosen" by a couple of cats at different times. That's what they do.

Just go with it. You can't abandon her and if you re-home her you'll always wonder "what if." Just go with the flow, as long as she gets along with your doggos.

As for the kittens, if there are any...it's a good time to see if any of your neighbors need barn cats.

Some people believe a loved one can come back this way. You could be turning away an old friend!

If we lived close we might take one, we are pretty sure we're replacing our Ragdoll with another Ragdoll, but that cat is going to need a kitten companion. Of course, I don't know what the timing on any breeder litters might be ...

I know. The thought occurred to me.
I was raised by a family full of witches.

I don't necessarily pick by color. I go by personality.

If I went on looks, we wouldn't have the cat we have now. She's not the prettiest thing in the world.

Annnnnd $175 later...

Back from the vet:
No chip
Less than a year old
No health issues, fleas or ticks, but I had her treated for worms and fleas
Also had her nails trimmed

Had her X-ray'd...
8 kittens in her...10-14 days away!

Vet says she has 'Egyptian' in her...and was probably dumped on the side of the road by a previous owner who discovered she was pregs.
Happens all too often, she said.

Congrats grandpa!!!!

Don't tell my wife you can do that. She keeps asking me for another cat.

Last thing I need is my fax machine covered in fur balls.

Would that be like the time we took a friend's fat bastard rat and xereoxed it during a fire drill?

Haha!

Word of advice: Watch your toes, lol, especially near the bed.

That said, you will fall in love and be completely...whipped.

Well done!!

I knew the name Cleopatra came to me for a reason.

She'll still love you if you stick with Fluffy Noodles though.

Kittens are awesome. Just don't take them away from mom too soon or they have "issues." Trust me. I've have cats with "issues!"

So happy for you!!!

When you call them, cats tend to respond to that long /ee/ sound the best, so make sure you emphasize that /ee/ in Cleo.

Oh gawd! I feel your pain. Going through this exact thing. The universe is trolling me with cats this month. I dodged 4 of them but this last one ....keeps coming back.
