With the anonymity of the Internet; do you ever wonder whether you've spoken to a celebrity online? I guess anonymous forums give celebs a chance to
mingle with the commonfolk. I dont just mean movie stars; Buzz Aldrin, Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton, David Attenborough, Neil Degrasse-Tyson - they
could be here authoring OPs, sharing their thoughts and feelings only to disappear into the ether, back to their rich people lives.
When you think about it the internet provides an equal standing. Rich or poor, nobody can tell. Nobody can see that you're sitting in a crummy
internet cafe in South Korea eating cup noodles or whether you're sitting in your penthouse overlooking Park Avenue. On the internet, nobody can see
your top of the line computer or your crappy beat up laptop. We seem to be at a point where there is such inequality in real life; a man could work
every day of his adult life and never earn as much as a tech billionaire could in 1 week. Yet with the anonymity of the internet all avatars can be
equal.
Besides a few celebrities have admitted to having fake FB accounts to keep in touch with loved ones.
Take ATS. I'm sure in the very least Jeff Goldblum has a profile here he's such a conspiracy nut. I wonder who has an ATS account and we dont even
know who they really are...
(sorry for my ramblings. I have deep thoughts before I head off to sleepyland)
