Do Muslims have Near Death Experiences ?

I was just wondering, as something came across my news feed .

It was a rare occurrence and when it was documented , they saw the white light and was saved by God or Jesus.

No Muhammad or anything to do with what they were brought up to believe.

Thoughts or more info?

The Koran includes Jesus, so it makes perfect sense that they might see someone they've learned about in their holy book once on the other side.

I can't really speak regarding experiences by Muslims, but there is a wonderful story of a woman who is from India, who had a long near-death experience. I believe she was culturally Hindu. (Dying to be Me is the title of the book she wrote)

I think near-death experiences can happen with all cultures because the after-world is not dependent on our understandings of it -- it is it's own reality of which we know very little. I guess we will find out what happens when and if we get "there."

Some claim it is only the final gasp of dying biology, but I've been studying the phenomenon since I was in High School and there is enough data to suggest that it is more than "one last dream" or merely a dying brain. Others still disagree and claim the experiences are somehow biochemical death responses or something.

We shall see (unless the lights just go out and there is nothing to see?)!!

A near death experience to a muslim is the walk from the van to the mall/concert they are about to explode in.

I've had quite a few "otherwordly" experiences, including one when I was drowning. But I certainly didn't see any of the stereotypical depictions of any of the prophets. I think it's safe to say that any person from any background can have a near death experience. How they interpret what they saw is another story.

Though this is probably the wrong place to ask about Muslims specifically, seeing as 1) there aren't a lot of us Muslims here, and 2) most of the answers you get will be from people who are just guessing. So it would probably be better to just google "Muslim near death experiences" or to ask this on one of the many Muslim forums out there. Then you can see a wide variety of different answers from actual Muslims.

Only when the bomb they wear fails to detonate .

I saw a 30 minutes video about it yesterday. I was surprised. It's a must see, really.

@AboveBoard; In the video, they say Muslims think Jesus was a nice man sent from God but not His son as we understand it.
There were private interviews about NDE's from Muslim people, and public presentation about their experiences.

It was the first time I heard about Muslim NDE.

To all this is just a request from a fellow member, let's not turn this into a hate thread ALL THAT SHALL SERVE IS TO CLOSE WHAT CAN BE AN INTERESTING THREAD SO PLEASE DON'T.


I have voiced my own opinion on more suitable threads and this is not one this is about what people have experience AFTER death with a specific reference to believers in that religion.


Now the little I know of and there are many account's of them finding hell or finding themselves facing Jesus and even converting to Christianity - better christian's than 'we whom often falsely claim to be christian's' but are far from what a christian is supposed to be like I must add.

But there are also other type's, not necessarily a NEAR death experience but an after being reincarnated experience.

There is one very well known account of a young boy of ethnic Samaritan ancestry and of a long history of Islamic faith in his community since they converted to that religion long ago, over a thousand years or more.
This young boy had memory's of being murdered by his friend.

I am going to avoid the huge number of near death experience video's on YouTube about Muslim's going to hell etc because there are also many were guy's have come back and have converted to Islam just as other's have converted away from it.
My truth is not there truth and both can not be right, I believe Jesus is the Lord but it is a matter of faith and like he say's his own shall come unto him.

This is NOT a Muslim but this kid was dead for 40 minute's and was shown some thing's that I believe are true, this youngster has since passed over to the lord as even though he recovered his body was damaged and he died later.

The being he described is the same as the alpha and omega from the book of revelation, right down to the white robe and the gold gird around his chest.
The city is like New Jerusalem and the mention of the Colors is common to other's that have seen heaven, this world we live in today is a kind of death and it is dying but heaven is living and alive, it is a new heaven and a new earth just as promised, I doubt I shall ever get taken there but I hope that many of you do and religion on this earth be damned, god is real that is all that matters so try not to hate, try to car regardless of all that anger and remember whether a Muslim or a christian there are good and bad men on both side's of that debate AND there are children of Christ on both sides as well.
NOTE also what the kid was shown about Evil Alien's whom are in league with Satan and what they shall do to people.

These are NOT lies these people did experience these thing's and some of them were definitely among the most devout Muslim BEFORE there experience showed them the greater reality.

And it should be noted that Jesus didn't become 'Jesus The Christ' until He had 'gone on' (There isn't any 'death') It was TheQuorum™ that made Jesus - Jesus™ I'd opine Jesus would vomit if He was privy to what man did in His name. So Jesus IS blue eyed and does have honey brown hair? I'm now thinking the "Missing Years" (When Jesus hadn't been seen/heard from, as like most things doing w/religion™ the time varies from 12-18 years)

During the "Missing Years" Jesus was in the Orient learning Martial Arts, like Ben Affleck in 'The Accountant'

Why would you think that NDEs are purely a xtian phenomena?

It's this type of exclusionary thinking that leads to misunderstanding. I encourage you to get out, find a muslim, talk to them about their life, their religion. You'll be surprised how similar you probably are...

Just search YouTube. There was an NDE experience where a Muslim man was in the presence of God. God told him he wasn't his Allah, and instead an image of Satan was presented to him. The man was shown an image of other believers of Islam and they were all burning in the fires of hell. God also told him Jesus was not a prophet. God gave him a chance to change his life so he changed his belief to Christianity. I stumbled upon the video because I had the same thought whether terrorists or Muslims had NDE experiences.

There's also another video of a Muslim guy who changed his beliefs because of an NDE. The question is, is it a legitimate NDE.

I've been near death.
There was no experience.
Pretty much the opposite.
It was like peaceful deep sleep.

Anyone can have a near death experience. Muslims, Christians, Pagans, atheists...it has nothing to do with their personal religious beliefs or complete lack thereof. Did you think it only happens to religious people or something? Amusing, to be sure, but wholly inaccurate.
