I'd rather him be ended slowly. More painfully.

I think he got his just rewards and that's only right for what he did.

I wonder how long it would take to completely remove a penis with a bic lighter... one of the little ones.

And you'd think in a land where the punishment for such things, is this, there would be less of it, no?

So much for your "It needs to be shown, there would be less of it then" stance.

Well... it's not until recent years where these deaths have been shown in the media. We'll see in a few years if this type of crime goes down in stats!

Thank god the Yemeni justice system is so just , otherwise the man may have been unjustly executed .

Funny how people embrace sharia laws when it suits them .

An eye for an eye and a bullet in the brain for a 3 year old seems like a modicum of justice imho.

You'd probably need more than one.

I'm not embracing Sharia at all, just saying I agree with this one aspect of it.

These people cannot be rehabilitated or fixed, only warehoused for a short period of time and then returned to our streets and cities, sometimes without even adequate supervision.

Granted everyone, including paedophiles are a product of society, but what should be done with them if not execution and removal from our gene pool by any means necessary?

And what did he do to the 3-year-old? Isn't that torture?

She will never be completely healed again.

Of course I have a problem with Sharia.

Its an invention of the weak of mind, meant to protect their system of governance from the intellectually abundant. It also kills more people who, by any decent system of thinking, would be considered entirely decent. However, when you live in a country where the worst scum in the place can get away with short terms of imprisonment, after inflicting the worst sort of barbarism on others, you cannot help but be understanding when even a legal system as flawed as Sharia, occasionally gets something even half way right.

I mean for crying out loud, credit where it is due! I might not agree with the method, or the system which supports it, but no one in their right mind, would say that an incurable sexual deviant ought to be anything but ended for the protection of others.

What, become murderous like him? For shame...

The sentence was death and carried out. He'll never do that again.

How many witnesses did it take to get him convicted . Flawed system at its very best . The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree in most of these cases . Wondering if her father might have had enough influence to , ahem , find some witnesses .Extremely flawed system but still people rejoice . How many DNA labs in Yemen , i would suggest none .

the only misgiving i have with this case is :

was the conviction sound ?

i has zero issue with the concept of executing PROPPERLY convicted peadophiles

but my notion of yemmeni courts is 12 out of 10 for enthusiasm , 2 out of ten for integrity

Well even the Sun shines on a dogs arse some days.

This has little to do with religious originated judgements handed out by sharia law courts or councils and more to do with removal of paedophile beasts from existence.

The end simply justifies the means in this instance because if a goal is morally important enough, any method of getting it done is acceptable and the fact of the matter is that the beast will never hurt anyone ever again.

You are the one who put torture, your the liberal kind who try to substanciate criminal acts,if someone kills someone, they in turn should be killed, and this is why the country is in such a bad state, liberals fight for criminal rights

Yep. Agree. Like the Old Testament style. Actually, for such a heinous crime-how about a public raping so bad that he dies from it. Now that's true equal punishment. Save the bullet.
