This article says Trump has business interests. Lie. Trump is not president of any Trump business. He resigned on January 19, 2017. The Trump businesses, established in 1923 by his immigrant grandpa, is property of the entire Trump family. What's he gonna do, change his last name to something else? This is frankly ridiculous and totally unfair and it needs to STOP and focus on big things for the American people, such as the economy, such as tax reform, as such basic income, such as medical advances, not petty things like these ridiculous things that have nothing to do to improve the lives of the American people. Peace.

Unlike other Presidents who used a blind trust to avoid conflicts of interest while in the White House, Mr Trump placed his business assets in a trust that is managed by his oldest son and long-time business associate. He has the power to revoke the trust at any time.

He has also not released his tax returns, the first President in history to do so.

The President has business interests in at least 20 other countries, such as golf courses in Scotland and Ireland and hotels in Canada and Dubai, as well as other business in Turkey, India and the Philippines.

I'll tell you what. If Trump wanted to make money, he would not be president. He forgo all his salary since he resigned on January 19, 2017. There is not a shred of evidence Trump has gotten richer since becoming president.

I'm willing to grant that Trump still has "interests." But the president is not some kind of monastic hermit. We don't expect him to completely disassociate himself from his previous life. Trump's business interests are well known, and mainly center around real-estate holdings. As long as he isn't pushing policies that unfairly aide his interests, I'm happy.

As for your title, I do agree that the Trump-Russia Red Scare of 2017 seems to be running out of gas, and is destined to sit abandoned on the side of the road, with an orange sticker on the windshield. They've exhausted the list of Trump connections, and keep casting wider & wider nets, but so far nobody seems to have identified any actual crimes (with a law, and all that), and there have been no leaks to suggest any huge earthquakes are on the horizon.

Good point. Why demonize someone without a shred of evidence of wrong doing?

They claim Trump conspired with Russia even though there is not a shred of evidence of him ever done anything that benefits Russia.

They claim Trump become president to profit himself even though there is not a shred of evidence of him ever using his presidency to profit himself.

I think some people forget we live in a western society where evidence trumps heresay.

I don't think this has anything to do with the "failed Russia conspiracy", the investigations into the connections between the Trump administration and Russia are still ongoing. Rather I think this is actually just a separate issue that has been ongoing since he came into office but has kind of taken a back seat in the face of the whole Russia thing.

Now as it is in the OP I have to ask.

Why has Trump not realised his full tax returns as every other President has?

He said he would release them, as I recall during the election he gave some excuse about how they were being audited but promised that if he were to win he would release them in full.

Why has he not done this yet??

Obviously it's too complicated to discuss here.
Where everyone sees this in the simplest terms because they don't understand the complications or implications of the current arrangements.

We're going to find out one way or the other once Bob Mueller is done with his investigations.
It's a good bet he already has them.

His reasons will be abundantly clear then.

LOL ... I guess the other "Trump Russia is dying" thread wasn't going the way you guys wanted, eh?

So sad.

Due to continued, escalating Russia Investigation, more pro-trump threads appear on ATS pretending it's not real. Film at 11.

The agenda was specifically designed to form the idea in everyones head that Russia is all bad., used as an excuse to justify the sanctions they just imposed.

The reason was bs of course (election meddling), the real reasons are the Russian opposition in Syria and Ukraine and their plans to build gas pipelines to Europe.

But we can't say that. The issue of Russian election meddling is dying because less and less people believe it anyway. They are thinking up a new one, the fake news gears grinding endlessly.

Didn't he say he'd do the job for free?

Megalomaniacal billionaires need more attention, not money.

If you have never been a big Star Trek guy look up something called the "reality distortion field"

I think it really does apply to the Trump-loving snowflakes.

I am pretty sure that issue has been explained here in detail.
They do not want to know.

Have you been afflicted by some rare malady that just won't allow you to utter anything truthful, or do you just make this stuff up as you go?

Do you have any idea, or have you even contemplated how much money we, (taxpayers) have spent at Trump's Mar-A-Lago resort alone? In what world is that "not a shred of evidence?"

Hell, Trump probably makes more profit playing one round of golf at Mar-A-Lago than he gets for a whole year's salary as POTUS.

The sheer fact that people were screaming for an impeachment before Trump was even swore into office tells me everything I need to know about demanding tax returns or chasing the Russian rabbit down the hole.

Even if the tax returns get released and the Russian conspiracy get publicly debunked through the highest officials we can hear it from - the group of people who hate Trump will move their Presumption Train down the tracks to the next topic they can muster.

It really is fascinating how much disdain was created by the media through the election process - and how much motivation people have to research into another person's life like some act of vicarious vanity. If only we could motivate people to do the same kind of research towards questions like what reality is or consciousness...

I agree Trump university was a crappy decision on Trump's part. I don't think it was meant to be a scam. No businessman on purpose tries to ruin his reputation. There are thousands of crappy businesses in the US. The US government should have prevented private institutions in the first place. If Trump university was a crappy business, I hold the US government responsible for its lack of oversight in the private education industry.

Heck, if Trump university is a scam, then so are insurance industries. Under ACA, which THEY lobbied for, enables them to take billions of bailouts from the federal government. NOW that is what I call a scam. Not only scam, but unprecedented corruption along with the Congress and the president.

The insurance industry makes Trump university look like nothing in terms of scam and corruption.
