Ivanka Trump forgoes money to help the American people

She received her final payment in the tens of millions a year last year. She wants to help the poor by going into politics. African Americans, most of them live in the inner cities of big cities, think Democrats will help them. Democrats will never help them. They are not given good public education, good job opportunities, and public housing are in poor condition compared to suburbs where white people live. Democrats are only using them for votes. Ivanka Trump want to help them. To prove it, she is getting a low fixed salary. For that, she deserves a big round of applause. It's time to lift African Americans out of the inner cities of big cities and into the suburbs. It is long overdue.

Ivanka Trump or her trust received at least $12.6 million since early 2016 from her various business ventures and has an arrangement to guarantee her at least $1.5 million a year even as she serves in a top White House position, according to her first ethics disclosure made public late Friday.

Ms. Trump, who resigned from nearly 300 leadership positions at various entities within the family real estate businesses and at her fashion brand, has continued to receive millions of dollars from both streams, including more than $2.4 million from her stake in the Trump International Hotel in Washington and more than $2.5 million in salary and severance from the Trump Organization.

But going forward, she will receive fixed payments — a change that her advisers say was developed in consultation with the Office of Government Ethics to minimize her potential conflicts by removing her interest in how well her family's business performs.

Those businesses belong to the Trump family. If you want to blame them, blame Trump's grandpa for coming to America and establishing a successful family business. Or are you racist against Germans?

What do politicians do? They lift poor people out of poverty and into middle class. The job of a politician is to expand the middle class. That's how a society becomes stable. That's the job contract of a politician.

It's refreshing to see a person actually making LESS when going into public service as opposed to the usual enter politics poor - come out rich charlatans that we usually see.

Nope. Im not prejudiced against any-damn-body. I love everyone..with the singular exception of megalo-maniacal, conceited , inherited-hyper wealthy people who most likely have never been in a $.99 store or pumped their own gas...to speak for our "best interests'.

Especially since theyve never lived under that way of life to totally understand what the common folks have to go through day to day. Especially families...

How well this works is yet to be seen, but it is my belief President Trump is trying to return the prosperity of the 'middle class' and return wealth to America that has been sadly exported by past administrations.

If you're wealthy, you don't need to enter politics to help the poor. Sounds like a sympathy ploy to me. There's a lot of homeless people out there who would love a warm place to sleep and a roof over their head. For a family who made billions in real estate, I'm sure they have the ability to shelter many without the need for entering politics.

Dad's in a powerful position to devise a plan to make sure all Americans can have free access to healthcare no matter what their financial status. That alone would show he cares about the welfare and health of all Americans. Instead he's contradicted what he's said during his campaign about giving us a much better healthcare plan than Obamacare! Actions speak louder than words. Instead of tweeting about being criticized by the press, maybe if he started focusing all his energy on genuinely helping the American people, the press will call off the dogs!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Donations to the poor only helps temporarily. It will not solve the problem. To educate the poor. Give them hope. Give them aspiration. Give them opportunities. That requires changes in politics and society. Welfare is forced donation by the rich to the poor. That's why I am against welfare.

I would rather tax her so we can afford universal health and mental health care. Our nation is sick, jobs won't fix that now. That's why big business like the Trumps go foreign workers. They are probably healthier and have not turned to opiates.

Polluting the Suburbs..I take that as innuendo, between the lines speech. We have to stop the racial dislike and hatred, and blame game........ or we will finally come undone.
