and for that off the beaten path vibe...

I love music more than just about anything else in this life. My wife and daughter are the only things that i hold more dear. when I hear music like this, my fingers itch for a guitar. think i will grab one now...

Always i hear my heart bouncing when i listen this

And this one... it tells about a woman who was sent to island of lepers, island was called Seili. Swedish king Gustaf Adolf II made a decision that all lepers should be sent there and "patients" should bring with them nails to their coffins. Seili is about 30km from Åbo in finnish archipelago

It's nigh on impossible to choose a single favourite song. I have many.

However, this one would be right up there.

Here's a couple of songs from my favorite band this side of the world... both from their 2nd album Bipolar released about 2009.

"A Purse Of Stories"

Look beyond the means and hows and
See through the reasons why
Look for as many clues as you can find
Because I need some ascension here

I see some pairs of hands reaching out
But its taking so much to begin my doubts
You might know where to take me
I need some ascension here

Out of place
Out of time
Out of words
Going out of her mind
(Repeat)

I got blood on my hand
I tried to talk to myself
To figure out a plan
But here I am and I have
Shapeshifted again

I'm willing to make some sort of compromise
But I used to take other people too nice
You might know where to begin
I need some ascension here

Tell me hopeless is not a case
If the situation is off the phase
You might know where to take me
I need some ascension here

Out of place
Out of time
Out of words
Going out of her mind
(Repeat)

I got blood on my hand
I tried to talk to myself
To figure out a plan
But here I am and I have
Shapeshifted again

I didn't mean to hurt all of 'em
I suggest you run while you still can
Then I'm shapeshifted again, yeah
Like sinners need your saints now

It is one of the hidden tracks in their song Sugarcoats & Heartbeats.

OMG. Mancini was THE biggest thing in movie scores for a decade. His ability to take simple and often comical themes and then turn them into the grooviest jazz pieces was just great. The score for Hatari was full of cool tunes and of course the famous Pink Panther and a Shot in the Dark were just so smooth.

Thanks for that memory skunk.

That tune came out when I was a in my third year of high school and was basically a one hit wonder. All those years until just recently when I first checked on youtube to see if I could find it, I had thought that that screaming voice on top was a soul singing black woman from the motown style. I about peed when I saw those little monkey boys doing that dance and mister nordic blond dancing in what could be better called a march. Anyway Peep, thanks again and I'll see you around.
