I think it's appropriate. At a public hearing those people keep saying I'm not going to comment on that, I will not answer, not in a public setting. So it's pointless. They get a private interview where they can speak their minds rather than not answer questions like those others did at public hearings.

I'm glad that was changed! We'll have less of a circus, from the liberal media clowns next week. They've been building up the hype all week. Love it!

So does that mean they will not have to testify under oath? Or can they be called out on any lies?

edit on 21-7-2017 by JohnnyCanuck because: yes

Hillary Clinton was "interviewed" on more than one occasion regarding her alleged crimes. She was NOT sworn in prior to the interview.

I understood that any interview was a prelim to a public hearing later, I can't see NBC saying otherwise.

Maybe they should just refuse to talk at all,
sure seems to be acceptable from all the Democrats!

Is it still under oath? If it's not under oath it's pointless. Remember that time GWB gave an interview rather than testify under oath to justify a war? People saw through it right away, and it was the end of his broad war support. Hiding from the critics is no way to maintain approval.

Lying to the FBI is still a crime, whether she was under oath or not.

Did you hear me asking about Hillary or the Democrats? Is this what's referred to as 'triggered'?

It is against the law to lie to congress under oath or not...

But it's not against the law to forget.
