I made an Ebay account yesterday, after refusing for years and damn. It's loaded and convenient. I'm pretty much a shut in so that helps. Now if I could figure out how to get the doctors here.

I hate to admit that Amazon is more reliable, but Ebay does carry some interesting rare items you can't always find elsewhere. I think Etsy is another one you could try online, it's not bad i've heard.

Even though I'm finding it hard to move of late,I still hate to buy anything site unseen, and seen many an E Bay product show up wrong, plus it's fun going out and looking at physical options, another thing never know where your package will be,I once looked out window and saw a box in the gutter, ended up being a 500.00 item, addressed to my kid

Oh God it's like a drug isn't it... I have Amazon Prime for next day delivery, my sister lives near a distribution centre and has Amazon Now - DELIVERY IN AN HOUR!!!!

I don't even need anything but today I've bought another barbecue and am just looking at e-readers (of which I already have).

Consumerism at its best.

I agree, I've been a customer with Amazon for 14 years but have only just joined Prime about 4 month ago. It's the best thing I did, free same or next day delivery, all the free movies and music, Amazon Now (not that much choice but still really handy for the essentials). Free membership to Twitch as well.

eBay I still use, but nowhere near as often as I used to.

The only problem I find with Prime is that I can't stop buying stuff.

Same here.
Went a bit nuts finding all sorts of things I'd been after for years. Fair price too. I still love charity shops and boot sales if I can get out, though.

It can be heartbreaking sometimes. You think you have something of value to help get by until you look it up and there's a load of them at £1.69!!!

I've learnt that all my stuff is junk.

Errrm....actually.....just to clarify....

All my stuff for sale is the highest possible quality and value.

Honest.

You won't get a better deal anywhere else and I have everything you all could ever want.
You should all immediately go and check it out at.....

Great? Yep. Convenient? Sure is? Reasonably priced? Of course. Do I use them all? Uh-huh. Wonderful isnt it? We have been to the mountain top and seen the promised land. And unfortunately...this will be how it ends. Big Brother's mission is nearly complete.

Our personal digital footprints are recorded now. Names, address, likes, dislikes, bank and credit accts., locations, occupations, family composition and size...its insidious really.

Find something to attract the millions...and we get hooked...and we did...and we are...and the governments of the world have placed surveillance devices into our personal lives! And we've taken the bait willingly!

Gotta go...new order from Amazon coming up drive...Or its from Ebay...I hope its that hunting vest, or light up dog food bowl... maybe its those 3d VR glasses...or that washing machine! Im SOOOOO excited!!*

A good chunk of what's on Ebay are counterfeit.

There are very few things I buy from Ebay. When I do I select North America Only or US only depending on what I'm looking for.

I used to buy allot, then got burned out by pay pal asking for all sorts of things my bank doesnt.

I left it all behind. If cash cant buy it then I dont want it.

I dont even have a credit card anymore. My Debit card is useless, and I dont keep any money in the bank. Its more of a reaponse to a situation than a choice I made.

I am just fine without any of it.

I figured it out. It's about anticipation. You're going to get something you want but not sure when.

For years I also refused to join. Three weeks ago I joined both services. I've been able to find specialty tools that I just couldn't find in stores. Buy from high rated sellers, you'll be just fine.
