They are jpegs ... but I’m not sure how to change it.

Why would it have worked as jpegs at some point and not now ? Maybe I did something I’m unaware of.

Honestly... Zaphod58..you’ve been a great help , but I don’t want you to take anymore time on this. I’m going to talk to some friends and family and get them to help me. I learn faster and easier when someone actually shows me , or explains things face to face. Obviously I’m a slow learner 😏... and need ‘special teachers’ lol

Seems my pics in my albums are jpeg but when I use the take photo option on upload it goes directly to jpg .

Thanks for that info... been looking at the different ones they have to offer . Some free.. others not. Need to have one compatible with iphone.

Another strange thing... I’ve been uploading a few pics taken and they upload fine but don’t show up on my uploads. Some did.. now others are not 😕. * sighs* .. they are not under any other upload icons either. I’ve never really cared about posting pics or I would have learned sooner 🤨... but it’s ridiculous how much I don’t understand about this stuff and it’s time to learn. 😆

It works fine with my iphone pics.

But I dl from phone to pc.

You can do it from your phone, i'm sure.

My wife is a wizzz at it.

She doesn't even use her PC anymore. Just her phone.

That's about size of the image. Photos taken by phones are generally over 2mb in size which is too big for ATS. It's a bummer sometimes waiting for files to upload and then...nada. You can save your images at lower resolutions and upload those instead of the originals.

A workaround I use is the 'snipping tool' that comes with Windows if I'm on laptop/PC. Burgerbuddy's advice is good too.

That all makes sense to me. What doesn’t make sense is that I’ve uploaded 3 successfully from the same phone at the same size ? But then they quit uploading . They can’t be different size pics by the same phone , can they ? I took two of the exact same image... one uploaded ... one didn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyhoo... I don’t want to take up anybody’s time on this. I’ve figured a few things out from the help, so thanks to everyone for great advice .

I should be an expert and be able to give you precise answers. To be honest, I upload stuff and hope for the best If it doesn't work, I'll try a different way and then give up.

You can also use an outside source, such as imgur to host them and then post them in thread.

I would really like to know how to do this, even with images converted to .jpg, my phone still won’t cooperate.

Good to see a thread on how to do this. I will try this afternoon to see if it works for me.

I removed all my add blockers as I got a message that I can not upload images when adds are blocked.

I'm also having issues trying to post pics to threads. Whenever I click on the image icon it just brings up a blank rectangle with an x in the corner?

You have to upload them to your library first.

Would anyone hete be able to give me some advice about up loading images/pics to a thread please?

I'm clinking on the down arrow then upload but there isn't anywhere to go from there. Im using ats in the black mode when logged in if that has any relevance at all.
